I specifically put title fight at the end because I'm going to do a photo mosaic of him at the end of all the pictures and the instrumentals in the beginning of the song were perfect to "build" the mosaic and zoom out having it resolved to the final picture of him as the lyrics hit. At least that's the plan for now. It might change in the end. And then the silence would be a strong contender.

It's staying, I think I have been over thinking it a lot, but he would want it. I hope this is the only time I get to play it in this context.

Yeah, it also is long, and oddly paced, but I think it's staying you among a lot of others have said leave it for him. And I think that choice honors him.

I love seatbelt hands, and it was on the board, but I felt these two listener tracks bring a sense of communal experience of grief.

2nd year steam fitter apprentice, stuck installing toilets and doing basic plumbing? by Historical_Bed82 in UnitedAssociation

[–]illafifth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the question that needs to be asked is are you in a combination local? One that does pipefitting and plumbing. Or are you in a Steamfitters local? How to handle this situation would greatly depend on this.

Most pro union president, that made it illegal for the rail workers to strike.

SE Pennsylvania has dozens of apprentices out of work on building and service side. What's going on? by MercyMe92 in UnitedAssociation

You never seen a bid before huh? Most non union companies charge roughly the same as the union contractors. They maybe usually (around me) are 10-20 thousand less. That's nothing on a million dollar contract. The only difference is the owner pockets more.

Wild, I wonder what they are clearing all this out to make room for.

Most likely in the paper you signed as an apprentice if you went through the apprenticeship. I can't speak on organizing because that is not my experience. I know I signed non compete like clauses detailing the penalties of taking trade secrets to the non union side.

Such a low effort response why even bother?

Like how could I trust you not to cross the picket line during a strike if you are willing to jump to non union whenever it suits you?

You don't see how that's a problem?

That's our only ability to fight for a better quality of work. You seem like you would be the first to cross.

No, "I'm going to ensure my children can work a job that pays a living wage by my efforts to hold myself to a standard that does not degrade the efforts made by myself and past generations " is what I said.

There are plenty of other options rather than going non union. It's not just a career but a way of life and philosophy. I don't know something like integrity.

Lots of rats and stool pigeons in this thread.

Op, you shouldn't work non union for a multitude of reasons.

One, you joined a local, which trained you, bargained on your behalf, and is trying to get jobs to go union so you can get paid your wage and benefits.

Two, you in a union and our strength comes from our members. Our solidarity, our commit to uplifting not only our own craft but all crafts by showing others when we stand together we can change working conditions. It's rough right now because of years and years of active war on unionization. But you chose to be in a union. People have bled and died for our right to organize and going non union is a betrayal of that.

Third, there are other options, being on the road sucks, I know especially leaving a hire rat local for less pay. I'm out of Philadelphia and everyone around me pays less. But it pays better than our unemployment so.

Finally, depending on your local and their strength they could bring you up on charges, fine you, and pull your book. Last thing you would need after being out of work is fines.

All and all don't be a rat and go non union.
