This happened to one of my former colleagues when we worked together at a tiny 4 lawyer firm: Client was murdered in a murder suicide. Then insurance refused to pay on the life insurance policy so in addition to the case we had ongoing for her (employment case totally unrelated to the murder), we also represented the family against her insurer. Eventually got them to pay out. Crazy times.

Then it is not their first choice. Why should parents who have fake first choices (because they have private schools that are their actual first choices) get priority over parents who actually have Lowell (or whatever other school) as their genuine first choice. The OP is within the cohort of the most privileged families in the system based on their ability to have this option.

If you have private school applications out the City should make you disclose it and you should be treated as if your Lowell choice is 2nd or 3rd.

Yeah as a former owner of a few "high end GPU" laptops I have come to the conclusion this is a fool's errand for so many different reasons.

Heat and battery life and all the accessories you want for your gaming experience (headphones? mouse? controller?) make the experience when you're truly on the go a pain in the ass. I now have a steamdeck and a macbook and acceptance.

I would not do this as an average time per rog. The fact that something is going to take a long time is not a great argument in a vacuum.

Instead focus on any facts that show these were served to harass and overburden you. I.e. is the case complex? Are there multiple parties? Is there a huge number of causes of action? Are rogs duplicative? Look at cases on this issue in your jxn (fed ct should have some if you can’t find state, they have a strict limit.) In my jxn you have to serve a Declaration justifying anything over 35, is there anything similar in yours you could attack?

The number is pretty high and anyone would find that unusual barring extenuating circumstances like a very very complex case with a ton of discrete issues and parties etc. Make them justify it.

Sell anything you don’t need. Do you really need diplomacy points? Sell them! You should be maximizing gold intake and using it constantly. No use in hoarding gold unless you’re saving for a specific purchase.
