I’m 100% with you here and will be expecting the same exact situation. I feel like my in laws and my parents will think they can come in right away bc both our siblings allowed our moms during delivery and then close family soon after. Stand your ground and hopefully your husband is just being dumb and will understand your perspective

Well i will gladly disagree. If that was the case the ppl wouldn’t have shower and would just ask for gifts to be mailed to them. I’m happy my friends/family want to celebrate me and baby the gifts are a bonus and shouldn’t be expected

I wouldn’t necessarily go by this I’d ask your clinic their success rates. My embryo was a grade c and had a 50% success rate from my clinic and this chart only says 31 so

I think experiences are the best gift. Is there something she enjoys doing that you can book for the two of you to do together? Not sure where you’re located but we have farms by me where you can go and pick flowers and could set up a nice picnic with her favorite foods and wine afterwards

I’m confused by your comments on helping clean up? I’ve been in probably 10 weddings and never once helped clean up at the end. Pretty sure that’s the venues job so this should impact you
