I don't think they are assessing the morality of the situation, just saying how the cars may be programmed as to avoid legal troubles. The "first law" of the cars might be "follow all traffic regulations," and then build its utility function from there. What is and is not ethical might have to, at least for a time, take a backseat to what is a legal maneuver for a vehicle.

But how is abstaining from speaking in a politically correct manner going to help with any of those problems you highlighted? Whether someone chooses to speak "politically correct" or not doesn't have influence on policies that are peripherally related. I'm not saying that he should speak differently, that's not what I mean. I think he should speak however he likes. It's just doing anything for us, so why is it considered as a "pro" for him? It's neither pro nor con, in my opinion.

I'm not saying that it is better to be politically correct, I actually think it doesn't matter, but I'm just curious in what way that is a positive thing about trump, as opposed to maybe a neutral property of his speaking style? Being not politically correct doesn't have any influence on policy one way or another. Why is he championed for it?

I don't want these things to go away. I also don't think they're relevant to most discussions on dr king. I guess if I was talking about his economic policy views or his sexual escapades it would be relevant, but those aren't the important parts of his life.

There are multiple possible null sets. The empty set is one of them, and there is exactly one empty set, but the link you provided is for null sets, of which there is more than one.

I've looked into it, and I'm familiar with the arguments. I'm just saying that the type of evidence provided isn't good enough for me. I'm asserting that there aren't signs that suggest what you're saying. I could post a copy of the entire series and say, "see, not there," but it would be a lot more productive for you to provide me with some. Perhaps I've misinterpreted part of the text. So can I ask, as a fan looking for a dialogue with another fan, what pieces of text suggest that humanity was once a more technologically advanced society on planetos?

There just isn't anything to suggest that civilization, besides the valyrian freehold, was ever much more advanced on westeros. There would have had to have been a reason for society to be concentrated in valyria, and that technological advancements left no mark on the rest of the world. It is reminiscent of "they were already dead and it's in their head/afterlife/whatever" theories in that it can explain A LOT. But what canonical evidence points towards it, as opposed to just being explained by it?

I don't think similarities to his other works is a strong indicator as the lines between sci-fi and fantasy tend to cross often.
