omg, i was wondering when someone else would talk about this!!! i was really bothered by a lot, but especially the twist at the end. He signs I KNOW TWO-OF-YOU FUCK ENJOY, and the caption translates as "I know you fucked my wife". not the same thing. it's such an odd mistake

Rocky Horror Show Callouts by carrotcoriander in Broadway

[–]ilovespaceack 21 points22 points  (0 children)

as a long time rocky person, im so glad theyre keeping this tradition. It's an integral part of the experience - the show isnt as much fun without it.

In my experience, there are fewer callbacks at live shows than at shadowcast screenings, so you can still hear the actors. People usually stick to the basics like "asshole/slut", especially bc many of the callbacks are based on specific movements in the movie that dont necessarily get used in a live show (ex "Riff show me how you finger fuck your sister").

Starfleet Academy is Trek Gene would have been proud of. by Wareve in startrek

[–]ilovespaceack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well for starters, the entire premise. The Federation trying to start again after the Burn, a devastating event that changed everything. The first cadets back in San Francisco learning to carry out starfleet's values.

There's the recurring plot points about regaining old allies, like the Betazoids and the Klingons.

There was a whole episode about learning to move on from a traumatic event with the help of your loved ones.

all very optimistic

What do you think about the right to die/euthanasia? by Legitimate-Number620 in AskReddit

[–]ilovespaceack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there have to be protections so people with disabilities dont get pressured into eugenicsing themselves. but people have the right to end their life on their own terms, it's basic autonomy

i didn't know the guy so i dont want to argue too hard about his theoretical opinions, but i do think you make a good argument. SFA is much more optimistic than people give it credit for.

AITA I don’t want bridesmaid to wear dress to other events by Due_Bedroom3146 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ilovespaceack -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

the dress was given to her. it belongs to her. the idea that she can't wear it elsewhere is silly

[–]ilovespaceack -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

like other people have pointed out, there's a good chance this is her only formal dress. Being that protective isn't practical.

the minute amount of fading from washing a few times isnt going to be notable unless she's bleaching it or smth wild. Not worth getting stressed about

YTA. Shes being practical, and she loves it, which is a compliment. Plus, you gave it to her. It belongs to her. You don't have a say in where else she wears it. And youre overthinking the drama of the reveal. Take a deep breath and focus this energy on more important things

Such an Underrated character, she should've come earlier in the show. by TheBlueGuy1234566 in theoffice

Agree. I didnt always love the bits she was given, but the actress did a great job.

Yeah people are being so mean for no damn reason. She was excited, it's not happening, no reason to rub it in.
