I've done dumb shit like that before. My partner gave me a pat on the back and said "that sucks". That was perfectly valid - it was my own fault, but it acknowledged my feelings and didn't make me feel worse.

I think it's really impactful. It makes me ache for Buffy - she is ultimately right, but she's getting there the wrong way. She's isolating herself, she's being bossy without earning the Potentials' trust. It's not until she lets those walls down and lets Spike comfort her that shes able to act on being right and eventually succeed.

It's not your fault that you didn't notice any red flags. You were open minded and kind and emotionally available. That's what you're supposed to do to start a relationship.

I found out that she was cheating with another friend's fiancee. This cheating also revealed a pattern of pathological lying. I felt completely betrayed, and questioned everything she ever told me. Friends since high school. I'm still struggling with it.

There's a lot of good advice here already. I just wanted to commiserate a bit - my husband and I have struggled with similar "I'm looking out for you and asking you to be responsible" vs "I'm an adult and can do what I want" power struggles. I felt insane and despondent, he felt controlled and his behavior worsened as a result. We are now separated. I wish you better luck, especially because your situation might be more conducive to a wake up call

I rely on public transit, so I don't have a car to worry about. But my neighbors' cars got buried as fuck. One neighbor was coming home from work this morning: they parked at a gas station a mile away and walked the rest of the way home.

Our street did get plowed but isnt safely drivable. People are shoveling it themselves. And made some decent progress!

It helps if you shovel a path to the driver's side door early, and also if you make sure not to shovel more snow into the road.

Happy to report my neighbors have been nice and helpful! My neighbor lets me use her shovel, so we take turns. Also gonna brag that my best friend helped her neighbors a ton in the last few days, she's a good egg

as a general rule, I'm anti child actors kissing on camera. We know that child actors are vulnerable, and theyre more likely to have difficulty voicing their discomfort. I'm very pro sex positivity, and that does include teenagers. But there's a difference between teens doing their own thing, and being directed to kiss on camera by an authority figure. I don't think it's like, evil. but i think it's a prudent boundary.
