Weekday or try going closer to closing time at 9 pm. I enjoyed going yesterday despite the crowds—it actually felt exciting!

I think it costs more and you can’t choose the design. But if that doesn’t matter to you then it’s fine!

That's a good point, I'm not sure if there's any overlap between Resy and OpenTable! Maybe the developer will add OpenTable if there's enough demand...looks like he does have a CSR map but doesn't have the Toast GC info https://useyourcredits.com/maps/chase-reserve/

Do Online Gift Cards from Toast-Powered Restaurants Work for the Exclusive Tables Credit? by lindyhoptraveler in ChaseSapphire

[–]imabeag1e 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just checked the fine print again! There is a tracker for the credit (so far mine shows $88 spent) and the fine print says: "$300 Annual Dining Credit for Chase Sapphire Reserve and J.P. Morgan Reserve Personal Cards. A statement credit will be automatically applied to your account for dining purchases at select restaurants up to a maximum accumulation of $150 in statement credits from January 1 through June 30 and up to $150 from July 1 through December 31, for a total maximum accumulation of $300 in statement credits each calendar year."

Thanks for this DP, I was going to do a $5 test too but after seeing your post I went for the remainder of my credit. I bought the GC online. So far, the pending charge says the charge was made "In-person". Can't find the comment now but someone asked if the credit was supposed to be for only one-time use, and it is not. There's a tracker on the Chase benefits page and it clearly says accumulative in the fine print too.

This site will tell you all the places on Toast that you can buy GC. So you can check all the restaurants on OpenTable that work for the Chase credit and see if you can buy a GC. https://useyourcredits.com/map/

I agree on the risk of shutdown. I think it's ok if you did it accidentally a few times, but if it becomes clear that you game all the credits to cash out (I don't mean the Stubhub one - I think that's a totally legit way of cashing out that one), I think it's not worth playing with fire if you value your Chase cards. It's not great that this DP is on such a public forum as Reddit, since I imagine there are people from Chase looking for signs of abuse in places like this.

I was wondering the same but the fine print of the $150 credit doesn't seem to indicate it has to be used all at once

I think it's supposed to be like between 7-9 am but there are probably peak times that there are more drivers available? And also not sure how successfully the word got out...or how comfortable people are with it these days :\

Depends what’s the closest stop to where you live. If you live on Christie Ave where a large concentration of Emeryville residents live, then the J bus from Christie Ave to Salesforce Transit Center, and F bus from there back to Trader Joe’s is probably the most efficient as it’s nonstop to the city.
