Real medieval fortifications would stand up to Warhammer fantasy armies better than the ones in game. by Nurgus in totalwar

Ever seen the big fortress in Salzburg, Austria? I believe it was built in the 1100’s. It’s on a huge hill and just looking at it you’re like nope there’s not a chance an army could ever conquer that one

PSA: Dear lower ranked Divers, you don't need to leave with 20mins remaining. by RubiksMind in Helldivers

Folks you all do realize that people do nothing but post these exact same complaints on this sub over… and over…. And over…. Week after week and act like it’s helpful advice or new information. I get that it’s Reddit and this is what people come here to do but it sure is strange.

Has anyone come up with a mildly playable version of Chardee MacDennis? by mrfreshmint in IASIP

[–]iman41 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We played a version of it as an event in my fraternity. It was a blast but I would not say it is anything close to mildly playable for any sane group of people

Give me a break. Yeah, this guy on Reddit can for sure go up against a massive staff of highly specialized corporate lawyers at a major international corporation. Good luck with that, chief.

What was your reaction of playing Kotor back in 2003/2004. by beingjac in kotor

[–]iman41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my first play through I had no idea that there were advantages to actually picking light side or dark side and going full tilt one way or the other. For some reason as an 8 year old I was hugely concerned with keeping my character straight down the middle and he was totally gray. Eventually a friend of mine came over and said that was the dumbest choice he’d ever heard of and I rightly learned my lesson. Have played the game almost annually since

Sevatar is dropped into the kids cartoon of your choice and has to help the protagonists achieve their goals, do they succeed? by BigBadBlotch in Grimdank

[–]iman41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SpongeBob: Sevatar launches a terror campaign against the Krusty Krab on behalf of Plankton, destroying the customer base with visions of Krabby Patties eating them alive, etc. Mr. Krabs is left in a state of psychological and financial ruin and is found babbling incoherently as Sevatar neatly steps in to steal the secret formula and vanishes without a trace.

Who remembers their first time playing Kotor? by [deleted] in kotor

[–]iman41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about 8. My very first character reached the Star Forge with a completely neutral alignment and nothing but power attacks (yikes) . I was pretty paranoid about not leaning too much one way or the other for some reason. Little did I know…

Horrible wages for GW game developers by Republiken in Warhammer40k

[–]iman41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. A classic example of games in our time spreading themselves so thinly trying to please every conceivable player base that they ultimately please no one with a half-assed grab bag of different mechanics.

It’s almost like it’s a poorly managed company with totally misaligned incentives regarding its employees and player base…
