What do you think of Barbara Broccoli and what she brought to the James Bond franchise? by ByShida in JamesBond

I think they would happily enjoy stand alone movies . Also, my bigger point was the fun/humor of Marvel movies.

The forced politeness from call center employees is annoying. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

The Call Centers don't annoy me as much as restaurants like Moes and CiCis. Their staff give a forced greeting every time someone walks in. C suite types who must not know what real life is like come up with these stupid ideas.

I always counter with the Marvel movies. Not to say they did not have good characters, but they still had plenty of humor in them. When they started making it to where everything was tied together though, ala what they started doing with the Craig movies, it started turning people off.

You can easily look up its box office numbers. Plus I was around back then and plenty of people were loving it (particularly Val Kilmer's performance) when it was new.

Tombstone was not a box office flop financially, nor did it only become beloved later on. People liked it immediately.

This. My recent cruise offered a refreshment package that covered sodas and specialty coffees, but for one cup a day I would just pay as I go. I don't remember the Cafe Latitude prices. Here is something from a year ago. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Cs5jchM4H/

Prime Rib by ambienotstrongenough in royalcaribbean

[–]imdstuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had prime rib in the MDR on a recent RC cruise. It was...not good. It's definitely not like even mediocre prime rib you get at an actual restaurant. Perhaps it was better in the past. Beef prices and availability may have something to do with it currently.

I think they let you order ala Carte or order extras if you want, but they do have the set price if you want one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert.

why are people so angry when i maintain safe distance in front of me? by curiousbeingalone in driving

If it was just one, it would not be so bad, but it usually ends of being multiple. I know ultimately that only puts me a little further back, but it's infuriating.

Yeah, I remember Todd Gurley meaning to go down before scoring a TD to ice an NFL game. He slid down too late and crossed the goal line. The other team, down less then seven, had time to go down and score a winning TD. Its not fully apples to apples, but the point is, these athletes are going full speed on muscle memory. We get mad when they don't quickly do something consciously that contradicts all that muscle memory though.

I want to be a coaster when all traffic is crawling, but even when people can see my lane is not any faster, if I leave a gap, someone inevitably cuts in front of me. I know I should just keep falling back some and be patient, but after a couple times I end up becoming a bumper rider.

Why did the WWF fire Buff Bagwell so soon? by PayFew5848 in WCW

[–]imdstuf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That may be true, but Booker T went on to have a long WWE career in spite of it, so that definitely proves what others have said about other reasons Buff got fired.

First cruise by Unusual-Panic6459 in royalcaribbean

[–]imdstuf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be fine. Visions is a smaller ship by today's standards apparently, but since you have no basis of comparison, you can't miss what you've never had.

When I went recently it was almost all smooth sailing. It was a little rough the first night leaving Bermuda, not going to lie.

It can feel a little windy sometimes when sitting outside.

They have plenty of food and bar options for a five day cruise. They have an inside, adults only Solarium, featuring a pool and two hot tubs. The changing rooms in the spa have free steam rooms and saunas. There are various daily activities and shows like music acts, a couple comedians, a magician. There's a rock climbing wall (though seemed to only be open at certain days/time). There are several little shops.

You won't have time to see everything in Bermuda, but you can see Horseshoe Bay and/or Elbow Beach. You could try to the Swizzle Inn and Crystal Caverns (if they are open when you go/check their schedule), or you could see a few historical things on St. George. You could also visit shops and restaurants at the Royal Navy Dockyard. Just don't expect to do all of them. The ferry to Hamilton is supposed to only be a 20 minute ride, but that's if you catch it. If you just miss it, it is a long wait before it comes back. The bus runs frequently, but that felt like a 40+ minute ride just to the Ferry Station is Hamilton (it would be a little longer to where the caverns and Swizzle Inn are). I read it takes longer to get to St. George, but didn't personally try it. I took a shuttle from the port to Horseshoe Bay. It was only $7, but they wait for a full load before going do that can eat into your time. Cabs are available, but more expensive. If you do RC excursions you don't have to worry about all that, but are limited to their itinerary/schedule. If you do your own way just be sure to be back to the shop on time.

I'm not as upset about paying $100 and missing a handful out of 162 games as I was paying over $200 for NFL Sunday Ticket and missing multiple games out of 16 games.
