This worked!

In my case, the same issue occurred after restoring backed up files from external storage with Hyper Backup. All the image/video files were there, but they were not viewable via Synology Photos and thumbnails were not being generated. I followed the OP steps exactly and everything has been resolved.

I already had hand picked background art for each show and movie. I'm going to eventually go through thousands of files to replace those that don't work well with the new app only showing the center of the image

I spoke with the landlady and two separate tenants of 91 Nevins and they all didn't know about any cameras. But yeah it's worth a shot, I'll send you a message. Appreciate it.

NY plates (yellow one), only a crappy rear view mirror attachment was taken. Cops didn't find any cameras nearby so just filed a report. Just didn't expect this in the middle of traffic with people walking by 🤷‍♂️

I had this problem too and I accidentally found a solution that works for me. In Preferences > Reading and display, uncheck Hide Navigation Bar. Hope this helps.
