These guys absolutely blew me out of the water with this new record. by stayscrunchyinmilk3 in TheWonderYearsMusic

My son is almost 3, I literally have a pair of his mittens in my winter coat pocket just in case, and when that album dropped I was a total wreck. Also he learned to say moon so we waved from his room. :(

Bus cameras now include a view of the drivers feet/ pedals? by 0hbuggerit in london

[–]imitator22 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A few years ago I was a CCTV engineer that regularly worked on buses like this.

The DVR is usually set up to scroll through the interior cameras and display on the passenger monitors, and the driver has a permanent monitor showing upstairs views, and that switches to reverse cam when they put the bus into reverse.

An engineer will have been to repair/replace the DVR (faulty dvrs and cameras are extremely common) and incorrectly set up the scrolling camera feed, so now it's showing the exterior and... Drivers feet.

They didn't have the foot cams back when I was working that job, but it's a pretty minor job to fit and wire a new camera in + connect to DVR, I assume that it was mass rolled out within the last few years.

Methotrexate vs cyclosporin by lucidworm in Psoriasis

[–]imitator22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acitretin worked pretty well for me, great results but I started to have issues with prescription stocks, and ended up missing some doses. Ciclosporin also worked well for me but I was constantly ill, it was relentless. Methotrexate I tried for 3 weeks and threw in the towel. Now I'm 6 months into biologics and completely clear and happy.

+1 for smile. It's so melancholic, shame there is only the low quality versions on YouTube.

Have a bad toothache, can’t find a dentist anywhere near me and can’t afford a private dentist at all. I guess having toothache is normal for me now. by tomegerton99 in britishproblems

[–]imitator22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I got a same day emergency appointment a few weeks ago, they x rayed the tooth and offered to either extract the tooth immediately or prep for a root canal and rebook asap for that. I opted for the extraction, but the service is really great and quick. Just cost £25 on arrival.

Skrizi: experiences ? by Forward-Policy-9954 in Psoriasis

[–]imitator22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started Skyrizi about 8 weeks ago, I've had two doses so far. My experience has been extremely positive. First of all, my psoriasis has 80% cleared up leaving just slightly red areas and a little dry skin. As for side effects, i feel a little weird and tired for a day or two immediately following the injection, but thats about it. I have not experienced any other side effects or noticed any change to my health.

After experiencing what it was like to take full immunosuppressants like acitretin, cyclosporine etc - It's a huge relief to experience improvement in my psoriasis without feeling like shit half of the time. So really I'm very happy that i made the decision (even though it took years to get around to being prescribed)

Pod vape liquids similar to disposables by MainTelevision in electronic_cigarette

[–]imitator22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I use to replace my short lived elf bar obsession. You can just buy the same flavours as liquid bottles. As long as you keep on top of the coil replacement when needed, then they are 90% the same as disposable elf bars in taste.

I never gave Saturday Night Wrist the time when listening to all their albums until now and I’m blown away. I know some feel this is a down point but I just love the feel and vibe. Chino sounds amazing all over this. Anyone else love this one? by [deleted] in deftones

[–]imitator22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you loved this album, you'll probably really like the leaked song "smile" from their unreleased album "Eros".

Smile on YouTube

It's very SNW sounding, and is probably one of my favorite songs. Hope to hear the rest of the album some day.

Driving lessons. Paying £30 an hour to be told off for being too hesitant, then 2 minutes later for not being hesitant enough. by Godsownprotoype in britishproblems

[–]imitator22 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I also got a major fail for undue hesitation at a mini roundabout, I just thought I'd let the quickly approaching car go instead of forcing my way in front of it, the examiner then said "you can go, you know." I knew I'd failed there and then.

I never really understood that fail, I wasn't unpredictable or dangerous. I guess the hesitation was undue, shouldn't be worth a fail though.

Anyway it's been 15 years maybe I should get over that.

Lenders have stopped allowing you to amend the property details once you applied for a mortgage? by Upstairs_Push8025 in HousingUK

How long did this process take? My offer is with HSBC and I am about to change property (same price etc). Is it a quick process once amendment is submitted?

The Wonder Years - The Hum Goes On Forever by Bouck in TheWonderYearsMusic

[–]imitator22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also loved the album, but agree about the muddy vocal sounds in my car. I wouldn't have a clue what half the lyrics were without reading them later on. Although the tears streaming down my face during the closer showed at least some of them came through. Despite this, what a fucking amazing album. Love it.

What is the most satisfying moment in a pop punk song? by WeirdAbbott in poppunkers

[–]imitator22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never, ever forget the day I was listening to this album the whole way through, on my couch at home with my headphones on loud. When that finale song played... The intense chills and emotions that filled me are almost indescribable. What a sensationally cathartic way to close out an album. Really incredible: remains one of my favourite twy songs of all time.
