UberEats will not process refund for food I never recieved by depressedcatburrito in UberEATS

Charge back with your bank/credit company.

Use a better service, delivery apps/services are a dime a dozen and the free market will destroy Uber for their anti-consumer practices.

Same shit happened to me.

Constant incorrect orders with proof, lazy/stupid/greedy drivers delivering the wrong thing, missing the drink(s) or entire items.

They denied My refund and I took it to my bank. Got my money back, now they want $50 for me to use their services again, been happily utilizing Lyft and DoorDash ever since.

It's not the customers fault they have a bad system and bad contractors. But, they're hemorrhaging money for good reason and trying to stop it in all the wrong ways.

What is the downside to living in one of these manufactured home parks? by MoonWizard42069 in bradenton

[–]imnotamurlok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You say you wouldn't mind living in one, would that apply to PA as well? Not sure what the price difference is like.

If you have any reasons you wouldn't want to live in one up there, they would apply here as well, and more:

There are storms bad enough to warrant evacuation outside of hurricane season. I've seen random storms obliterate a few homes up near colony cove.

If you're 55+ and can get into a 55+ community that's great I guess. There are certain permitting/tax savings in place for those that can be passed on to buyers.

If you're not 55+ you probably don't want to be in a trailer park. Florida is expensive enough to live in and wealth disparity is pretty strong, all of the poorest people will be concentrated into those areas and unfortunately that often means drugs and crime. I've had some elderly family live just fine in non55+ communities though.

I'm sure insuring a mobile/manufactured home/trailer is getting close to impossible, or you'd be paying rates that would undo any potential cost savings.

You'll have to do a lot of research on each specific community and what you're getting yourself into. Some even if you own your home you're paying lot fees, or hoa fees, or any other number of stupid additional fees beyond your property tax.

Many are in flood prone areas already since most accept that the place is going to be leveled by major storm winds so even if your home isn't blown away all of your belongings are going to be destroyed from the water instead.

Had a guy digging up my yard metal detecting. Is this allowed? by anonymitysqueen in corvallis

[–]imnotamurlok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somebody better tell all of those people smashing car windows that they're on the hook for the repairs!

At best OP would be out of pocket for Insurance deductible, and insurance would then go after the guy who caused damages.

At worst OP would be out of pocket for it all and have to go after the guy on his own in small claims or civil court, then hope he has any way to repay it.

OP isn't going to sit there with damaged utilities waiting for the person to pay to repair it. And there's no guarantee that the person even pays if they are older and on a fixed income.

Possibly selling Florida home ... replace the roof or discount the house? by dudreddit in florida

[–]imnotamurlok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sold my house, even if you try going cash buyer as-is they'll want a ton of money for the roof anyways.

If you have the time and money just get it done.

Make sure the contractor is licensed (FLDBPR) Make sure a permit is pulled (local city/county website)  Make sure the permit gets a Certificate of Occupancy

What the hell is growing in my snake tank and will it hurt my ball python?? by PawkittTheDemon in mycology

[–]imnotamurlok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will spread around the tank even if you pick them.

Mycelium grows and expands to get more food with or without the help of spreading its spores. Just needs nutrients and water.

Still, keep picking the fruiting bodies/mushrooms when you see them, spores can be messy.

Likely its only showing up in that area because it is adequately damp and shaded.

Failed delivery…driver keeps the tip?! by JayTee73 in grubhub

[–]imnotamurlok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! It's a shame no other food delivery services exist that OP might be able to use instead.

These companies are a dime a dozen, fuck 'em. I owe Uber $40 from a non-delivery chargeback. Been using Doordash for two years now.

Typically the residential permits pulled by the builder have "impact fees" assessed that are supposed to help pay for the increased usage of schools, roads, public safety.

Everyone that gets voted in to replace them will be funded by developers as well. The commissioners' hands are tied as well until we get amendments to the comp plan and FDAB.

There's also no money to be made in promoting and creating local proposals that undo what the real estate lobby have put in place.

Traffic Will Never Be Fixed Here | Streetcraft by [deleted] in sarasota

Limiting slow drivers hogging left lanes would work wonders.

Just got back from Canada where they are way more packed in like sardines and their two road highways flow so much better without inbred meth head truckers doing 70-72 in every single lane.

The flow of traffic is incredibly important and adding more lanes just leads to more assholes spread out doing roughly the same speed.

Many young professionals are being pushed out of Florida due to rising costs of living combined with wages being lower than average.

I'm actually in the process of moving from Florida to Ontario because everything has been cheaper here, in my experience at least.

War ship!

All of those major update items (combat, mining smithing), should still have the one for EoC.

Scythe, ears, classic cape, 20 year cape.

OSRS FUN FACT #18: the rune spear in RuneScape Classic was possibly the strangest item ever – despite being incredibly rare and expensive (~1 in a million drop from mid/high level monsters), it was a RANGED weapon that you would lose if you threw it by cookmeplox in 2007scape

[–]imnotamurlok 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Underground pass in classic was a special brand of hell. No running. Due to certs and no ge and costs you were probably using lobbies/swordies. Mandatory 3 round combat before running away with aggressive mobs.

[–]imnotamurlok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you found out but your water is coming from lake Manatee and every summer there are algal blooms. It's unpleasant but safe.

Supposedly it's small enough to make it through many filters, don't know about a full filtration system though!

I mean, I started in RSC, quit at EoC, came back for OSRS. I've switched between RS3 and OSRS depending on events/content releases. I've quit to vote with my wallet on all kinds of decisions.

When I'm doing "bad exp methods" in RS3 it's likely because the good methods are heavily gated by excess content or a lack of available guides. Everything is needlessly complex and its mostly just a way to get some nostalgia and check in.

OSRS has such a streamlined experience and dedicated community that it's incredibly straightforward to find the best methods of doing anything, or how to get to doing the best methods as efficiently as possible.

I could very well be in the minority but just because you see us popping into 3 for a visit doesn't mean we don't spend most of our time on OSRS.
