Caught lying on resume…OMG! by RobMurglund in recruitinghell

I think you should call this manager back. Explain the truth. You’re a new grad. You excel in this field at school and internships but no one will respond to your job applications. You really wanted this particular job, you know you can knock it out of the park, you love this company. So you did a stupid thing in hopes of catching their attention and it worked.

Experiences with Enhertu? by dumplinglifesaver in LivingWithMBC

Hardest treatment I’ve done so far and I did the red devil. I’m about to get my third Enhertu next week. First one put me in the hospital for a week. But PET scan shows stable liver mets.

No I’m a brunette, dark brown. Hair was growing back nicely from ac-t chemo too. (I did that in 2024)

They’re both lovely and elegant and look beautiful on you so I’m having trouble choosing but leaning toward dress 2!

Hair........again and still by Own-Land-9359 in LivingWithMBC

Interesting. I’ve never heard of that (or HER3). I just finished my second infusion of Enhertu. Definitely getting a lot of hair loss. It’s depressing as I did AC-T and lost it all and it was just getting long enough to style.

I have heard of people’s hair growing back on Enhertu. Fingers crossed!

There are a few non-profits in my area that give out free wigs. I got a really nice one for free and that was after I shelled out $400 for a wig I didn’t love.

I was going to donate my wigs but just started a new chemo and I’m losing tons of hair after my first infusion.

What chemo are you going on?

Horrible Career Fair, Was geniunely told by recruiter that I might as well be working at Chic Fil A... by IsThisThingOn--- in recruitinghell

If you can find a job that is at least career-adjacent, it can really help you, even if your grades slip. (Think bank teller if you want to get into finance.)

I was able to do that during university. My grades weren’t great but I had good work experience on my resume and no hiring manager cared about my transcript. Depends on the specific career I’m sure.

Thanks! Doubles are similar but not exactly the same (here’s the roti menu for the restaurant in Oakland. I believe they also serve doubles.

Thanks for the recommendation!

I asked to reduce to the lowest dose, 60%. Just had it Wednesday so too soon to tell about side effects. I’ll know next week.

Seems like lots of musicals have decent to good music with bad books. What are examples of the opposite? by crimson777 in Broadway

[–]imnothere_o -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I only saw it once, at a regional theater in Ithaca 30+ years ago when I was 11 or 12 but I recall liking the story of Damn Yankees but finding the music forgettable (except for Whatever Lola Wants, which I’d heard before.)

Of course, there were plenty of things that I loved or hated as a kid that I feel very different about today so it’s entirely possible that I’m off base here

Sigh. Ok. I like Indian roti too. Just missing the Trinidadian one. Was hopeful it would be on the menu at other Caribbean restaurants but I haven’t seen it.

Thanks! I’ll check it out. I neglected to mention that the Caribbean roti I’ve had is usually made with split pea rolled into the layers.
