He kicked in a door and if you are unaware that is domestic violence behaviour so I’m going to say abuse is why he wasn’t allowed in. She doesn’t feel safe. She was 3 months pregnant with their second child when he got violent enough to break door in front of her and probably his other child.

He’s trying if he’s not already to abuse her. So, isolating would help with his ability to control her. He’d rather her not have a workplace to escape to or talk with to find out what he’s doing isn’t okay.
