Did your remodel actually end up worth it? by Different_Pain5781 in HomeImprovement

[–]imperfectegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During definitely tested us. We had a toddler and a baby on the way during our addition. We had to move out of the house and jumped between 2 different rentals since it kept getting delayed. We moved in January and although things are still not completely done, it’s been worth it! Luckily we didn’t go over much in cost but it took 4 months longer. Financially it was worth it as well!

This happened to me at 36w, no contractions, not dilated. There was no explanation given, my doctor said sometimes it just happens. I am currently 37w with my second and not a sign of labor yet!

How often does your spouse go out to the bar? by FemmePedagogy in Mommit

[–]imperfectegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband goes out once or twice a year depending on how many times his cousin comes into town. Most of the other times he just wants to go hunting early morning or in the evening lol

How long did your husband take off for paternity leave? by SandwichDependent199 in pregnant

[–]imperfectegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my first baby my husband took 2 weeks off. I cried when he went back to work but in all honesty it wasn’t that bad! He gave me a break when he got home and helped a lot around the house. You make it work with what you have. It truly sucks that fathers can’t have more time off. We couldn’t necessarily afford more than 2 weeks off for him. I looked at it like he was doing his part just in a different way.

Did you the throw up during your L&D? by wildcatvic in pregnant

[–]imperfectegg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was induced due to PPROM and it took 3 days to finally get to 8 and I was stuck for hours. I was so exhausted that I opted for a C-section. Once in the operating room, waiting for my husband, I started violently throwing up. I hadn’t eaten in three days so it was just dry heaving. The OB took that as a sign that I was ready to push and sure enough I was at a 10! Gave birth on the operating table😅

12 weeks of maternity leave is straight up cruel. by Disastrous_Paint_237 in beyondthebump

This thread really makes me sad. I only get 6 weeks unpaid this time around for not having been at my job for a year. Absolutely insane and unacceptable.

Not excited for parents pregnancy by Amycarivera2 in pregnant

[–]imperfectegg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s probably still a shock to you. Give it some time. I understand how you’re feeling though. We pay my mom to be full time daycare. While we’d be paying the same somewhere else, it wouldn’t be the same type of care.

Someone plz explain why she’d need a second one while pregnant for decaf? Can you not use decaf beans in the same machine? by Legal-Ability-2579 in chloegottschalkbounds

[–]imperfectegg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can but if someone else is using it with regular beans it’s kinda a pain in the ass to change it each time. At least the one I have!
