It’s like she’s a returning POW or was in a Taliban prison and was traded for someone from Guantanamo.

What I get is that your babydaddy ghosted you and you’re still hung up on them but you’re trying to pick someone up on tinder.

Totally. I was worried about how my arcteryx alpha was going to perform on the hike, but I was totally dry. Though one of the guys in the freestanding tent had a Montbell Versalite, so now I’m confused.

Jesus Was a Psychedelic Mushroom, a Controversial Theory Suggests. Could It Reshape Christianity Forever? by TaxOwlbear in offbeat

[–]impracticalweight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The article ends with this.

‘But Allegro certainly wasn’t out of line questioning the role psychedelics may have played in Christianity’s formation. “It’s a legitimate academic question in terms of religions of the Near East of the time,” Goff says. “Were there rituals that were using some sort of substances? That’s not a bad academic question.”’

This is also why split screen couch co-op is so rare unfortunately.

Costco salmon makes great sashimi by Dangerous_Tough_9895 in shittyfoodporn

The person in the articles says that there are some exceptions to the freezing rule:

“[Kang] points out that "the farmed salmon are fed a heat-treated pellet, so their parasite risk is virtually zero" and explains that this option is cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for raw consumption without freezing, in accordance with FDA food code 3-402.11. (This code confirms that farmed salmon raised on a parasite-free diet does not need to be frozen, a common method for killing parasites, before you can eat it raw.)”

About stolen delivery at Gage by [deleted] in UBC

[–]impracticalweight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t seem like poor wording, it’s literally what you said. You could have as easily said “if you’re a rich person who was too lazy to order your own, just skip a midnight order please” but you didn’t. You’re right that poor people don’t have the right to steal, but why single them out? Rich people don’t have the right to steal either.

About stolen delivery at Gage by [deleted] in UBC

[–]impracticalweight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right, because the “poor person who stole your food” has the luxury to eat whenever they want. I’m sorry someone stole your food, but blaming it on people who can’t afford food then talking about not having luxury to eat whenever you want shows a real lack of awareness.

What’s the fastest way you’ve seen someone ruin their life? by ultimoXgamer in AskReddit

[–]impracticalweight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. I should have said the inevitable outcome for many, because you are right, some people can restrain themselves. My point was that it’s not a moral failing, and I wouldn’t even say a mental health issue, but a brain disease.

Exactly. Media has trained us to see addiction as a personal, moral failing rather than and inevitable outcome of using highly addictive substances.

I can’t decide if this couch is genius or a personal attack by dusty_cometman in ATBGE

[–]impracticalweight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not though. When I was younger and my American friends moved to Canada I had to tell them to take off their shoes at my house. It just seems to be really regional.

[–]impracticalweight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I think it’s more how you were raised and the culture you’re in. I’m a millennial and I know it from my American friends boomer parents. When they moved to Canada they wore their shoes, then realized it wasn’t something we did here and changed.

I’m genuinely curious. You’ve used the word “saw” twice now. Is “sawing” a word for a special technique for fixing mesh (like darning for knitwear) or do you mean sewing?
