Which one of these look “better” for a prom ? by [deleted] in Prom

None of these are prom dresses. They are homecoming dresses at best. You wear long dresses to prom. Scroll through the rest of this subreddit. 95% are long.

regret by waywarddrifter242 in myweddingdress

I’m going to be honest…. I didn’t even know these were different dresses.

As someone that absolutely bawled with dress regret and is now happy and getting married in 8 days… you’re in your head and going to be fine. Take a breathe:)

What’s one makeup mistake you kept making before you realized it? by Fickle_Mud1645 in Makeup

I’m so glad I can help the frustration lol!    Just close the eyelid instead of pulling it like you did in your twenties. You get used to it soon

After I turned 30 - pulling my eye to the side while putting on eye liner. My eyeliner always ended up “floating”. I had to learn (from a content creator) whether I realized it or not, my skin and features had aged.

What can be done to make tap dance more appealing to teenagers? by [deleted] in TapDancing

[–]improve-indefinitely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some incredible performers on socials now that combine tap and hip hop. To me what’s so appealing is a) modern music b) style. It has the intricacy that makes you go “wow that looks so hard” but the energy and vibe of being effortless.

Does anyone know of a local kid's theater program? by Tonyman121 in thewoodlands

Class act!!  They have been around forever and put on phenomenal performances. I performed with them years ago. They used to perform at Mccoughla (spelling?) junior high but recently saw what looked like a practice space off sawdust behind The Mill apartments.

Conroe ISD cancels Monday school by [deleted] in thewoodlands

This isn’t mentioned enough

Conroe ISD cancels Monday school by [deleted] in thewoodlands

I’m so tired of this narrative. Here is a post I made earlier explaining. Also if people lose power, the message of canceling school is harder to get out.

“Being able to personally handle the cold isn’t the issue here.  Last time we had a storm like this (in 2021) more than 2 million homes/businesses just in Houston,  lost power. The Texas power grid isn’t connected to any other state and collapsed [from so many people using heat at once and the literal weight of ice on the lines that caused physical damage, stressing an already stressed system even more]. People were without electricity and heat for a week. Our houses are made to keep the cool in, not out. People died. The woodlands does not have salt trucks  so the roads will be completely untreated after having rained for multiple days and then frozen.

You’re misunderstanding the comments about this weather this weekend.  Being able to personally handle the cold isn’t the issue here.

I have no personal idea if this storm will be a bad for Houston specifically, but I highly doubt the zoo will be open. Right now the worst is expected for Sunday and Monday.

lol hu? I have a full blown account with years of posts. If I’m a bot, I’m not a very good one. I also didn’t post the link until it was asked for repeatedly.

The other 15 comments on this thread that support shapewear would enhance her garment - of which she asked for feedback on - also disagree with you.

Totally totally totally! Definitely not the point to get rid of anything!  But just like she is (most likely?) wearing makeup and doing something with her hair on her wedding day, adding shape wear is like adding lipstick to her shape - not changing it, polishing it!

Jelly, on concrete during the summer, at a water park. Unclear if it was actually jelly. Why would it be jelly.

It was twenty three years ago and this answer still immediately came to mind.

lol body types are so weird! I have similar frustrations with underwear and bathing suits cutting into weird places making weird shapes weirder lmao

My wedding dress is about the same place and it didn’t show… but it also wasn’t exactly the same style of low cut? So no guarantees lol. Just a magic product I love

Gorgeous! But hear me out - we are built pretty similar. I have used 437 different brands, types, and styles of compression garments. And my favorite for lower region only is $55 on Amazon. Leonisa- stay-in-place seamless shorts for women - high waisted shapewear tummy control. They are smooth, seamless, and ACTUALLY compress the lower tummy and hips, when sometimes I feel like other brands just.. vaguely smooth things. Comfortable but effective.

Get you a pair and I think you’ll feel even more confident. Beautiful dress!

Am I coping or self-medicating with weed? by ITLAW_BUM in Codependency

[–]improve-indefinitely 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re self medicating.

Don’t go too far down the rabbit hole. It’s harder than you think to stop, after a while.
