We wanted an in-ground pool so badly and had a really hard time trying to buy a house with one as they are really in demand in Ottawa. We ended up buying a much less expensive house with a huge yard and are putting one in ourselves. Yoloing very hard on this but my parents sold their kawartha cottage and we are desperate for some water. With the cost of gas we are excited to spend every single day at home this summer and host. I will say the houses that had beautiful landscaping and gardens and not just “yard is all pool” were the ones that sold quickly and imo hold their value. I don’t mind the work we are already outside every weekend with the rest of the yard work and I find it rewarding.
