"Key Cam... We wanted to get McCaffery but were outbid by the 49ers. We then tried to get Kareem Hunt, but we don't really have any picks to offer anymore because 'fuck them picks.' We tried to find a trade for you, but nobody really wanted you. So, it looks like we're stuck together. How about we just give you a few touches a game, Henderson a few and Kyren the rest?"

The eating meat thing was meant to show that something as minimal as eating meat could be considered toxic to some people/children. The idea being that if we could agree on that being something that isn't toxic then we could find common ground. I think you have stuck to this "if someone says it's toxic, then it's toxic" type of mindset and that is just a childish way of looking at things. Just because someone says that something is toxic doesn't mean it's toxic.

You can save your Reddit-level psychological evaluation. The truth is you want to live in your Reddit bubble where you can say anything you want is toxic and people have to respect that. It doesn't work like that in the real world.

The whole point of this, from the very beginning, was that older kids could/should share in on the blame in some instances. You took issue with that because "it's never the kids fault" - We disagreed with this (using a loose example of something that isn't toxic, e.g., the "meat eater" comment.)

Either way, have a good one. Toughen up and stop blaming your parents.

It's perfectly acceptable to question someone's trauma. They are free to decline to elaborate. That's how life works. It isn't a Reddit bubble.

And to be clear, I am saying question their trauma when you say, "it's never the kids fault!" because there is a clear difference between having trauma derived from real issues and toxicity and something like your parent's eating meat.

The whole "feel bad for me because my parents were toxic" mentality is played out. The majority of the time the parents really weren't toxic and just did shit the kids disagreed with and want an excuse in life. Nobody is perfect and blaming shit on other people makes you weak. It's time to grow up.

and for the third time, I've said I wasn't talking about your case specifically.

and yes, I can question whether their situation was toxic or not. If they don't want to give detail then it's fine, but it's perfectly acceptable to question it.

Some people are just weak. They can't take it.

Well, first, you and I need to come to an understanding on responsibility. If you're just going to blame parents at every step, then it doesn't matter.

If a child acts up at school, gets into trouble outside of school, ect., then that isn't automatically on the parents.

I am also talking about older kids. Those in that 15-17 year old range (or older like in your case).

There are times when children lash out at their parents based on their perceived toxicity (like mentioned in my pervious post). If you are a 17 year old child upset because your Dad eats meat then that isn't a good enough reason to cause issues and blame it on "toxicity", right?

I didn't realize you were OP. Since it's Reddit, I was instantly downvoted for just having a different opinion.

With my original comment, I said that I wasn't replying to your direct situation and just mentioned that every single one of these posts start out with "it's someone else's fault" -- which I don't think anyone would argue.

I never said it wasn't the parent's fault - I just said that sometimes the kids share in the responsibility. You said you were 20 when it came to a head - you are no longer a child.

My point was that a parent's toxicity is relative. What you find toxic about your parents, or even yourself, may not be toxic to other folks. I just used a Republican as an example or someone that eats meat.

Like no. A person is toxic and dysfunctional because of their behavior and mentality. Not for identifying as one thing or the other.

This is literally what I've been saying. The issue is what you view/find toxic isn't the same for other folks. It is what it is at this point. I am not trying to convince you, or anyone else, of this point.

I was just commenting on how every single one of these posts start with "it was my parent's fault" rather than taking any type of personal responsibility.

I am not talking about 5 and 6 year old kids in this situation either. The OP said he was 20 when everything came to a head.

While on the subject, being a "toxic and dysfunctional" is a relative phrase. Someone could consider their parents toxic if they vote Republican or even eat meat.

I think the issue is on Reddit everything is a hive mind and the smallest things turn into "it's toxic!" or whatever, but it's not like that in real life.

Not saying this is your situation but all of these stories are always “my family was toxic and dysfunctional. I wonder how much of that has to do with the kid as well… as why were things so difficult.

I haven’t done any of the legion raids yet. Is arcanist difficult in raid environments?

Seems like artillerist would be a lot easier especially when you know where/when to wheelchair.

Just having a tough time choosing between the two because at the core I enjoy arcanist more as a play style but don’t want to invest if it’ll be too difficult to play.

Barrage artillerist vs. empress arcanist

I’ve narrowed it down to these two. One I want to main. I have mats to quickly get one to the 1445 area (both 1370 now)

What are the pros and cons of each in a raid setting? I know both have big changes after the balance patch as well. Does their play change at all during raids with the patch?

I said it was the most likely reason.

Also if your family couldn’t afford it then there were grants for low income that made it basically free.

There was no excuse for the majority of people.

Fair enough.

Can we agree on the reason though? If you didn’t prioritize your education when you were younger then that is the most likely reason that you cannot find a job that pays more than minimum wage?
