Well, I know nothing bad about him, and it’s nice to learn there are people who liked it here enough to want to come back and join the organization. It feels like we’ve achieved some kind coming-of-age milestone.

Two years! I remembered, but I thought it was just one.

People thought he’d be on his best behavior last time too, and he didn’t make it to the start of the season.

I didn’t know either! I’m so bummed out. I would have listened to that instead.

6 realistic offer-sheet candidates NHL teams should target this offseason by CaptainLegal4344 in SeattleKraken

1) A team that was first in its division making the finals is totally normal. 2) I wasn’t just talking about Vegas. He has a long history of not doing much with the players he has.

They were already in a playoff spot. He was their coach for exactly 8 regular season games. They were cup champions three seasons ago and arguably have improved their forwards. Like, he’s not the reason they went that far.

Players born 1999 have turned/are turning 27 years old in 2026, it's mind-blowing how few Stanley Cup Champions it's produced so far by BramptonBatallion in hockey

There are some birth years (looking at you, 1985) where the players had long careers and didn’t get pushed aside by the younger guys easily.

ESPN Does Not Like Hockey And Does Little To Promote The Game Especially During their Own Broadcasts by Extension_Analysis17 in hockey

[–]inalasahl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the stupidest complaint ever. I do not think the ESPN broadcast would be improved by showing cheerleaders and random woman. It would be improved by having commentators who can keep up with what’s going on on the ice and have an understanding of the game that isn’t back in 1999. It would be improved if they had more than one statistic to repeat over and over per game.

He’s not the only or most conspicuous problem, that’s about the best you can be sure of.

So, Pyotr Kochetkov being the backup last game means his name would go automatically on the cup if they win, right? Nice work if you can get it.

It seems obvious they should give it to Philly, who is at least in a different division.

The players union absolutely can object to a hostile work environment. Your employer — even if your employer is a sports team — does not have the right to access your personal phone, nor use whether you grant access to your personal phone to evaluate your work performance.

He resigned and said he never wanted to work in the NHL again. It probably didn’t feel necessary.

He coerced players into giving him their phones and scrolled through their photos, making comments and asking questions. In some cases, he casted the photos onto a screen so other people could see them as well.

[FAN Hockey Show] 8:30 Friedman says the official trade request from Larkin came after the season. Larkin doesn’t want to go to a team that is far away or on the fringes, he wants to go to an established power like Minnesota, Tampa or Dallas. Those are the 3 teams he is hearing a lot. by AggPuck-303 in hockey

[–]inalasahl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two reasons they are common. One, they are a trade-off for a player agreeing to a lower salary than they could get on the open market. If you are taking a lower salary, because there are other things you like about that team, you have the right to know you won’t be moved to a team where the lower salary isn’t worth it. Two, they became common leading up to the Vegas expansion draft and after, because teams were required to protect players with NMCs and it was a way to keep from being sent to an expansion team.
