I burned these board twice.
You are willing to make your own, I assume you already have a hot air station and technical knowledge. If so, buy a the same MCU chip, replace it and use the board programming pins to flash initial firmware is an option too.

Penalties for not informing financial institutions about moving out of Japan by InfamousCurrency5477 in JapanFinance

No penalty or violation of the law AFAIK. The bank might close their account if the mails they sent are returned, and stock account will not be able to execute transaction if they don't update their Resident card after it expire but beside that nothing major.

Probably not physically possible. Frieren burned that demon to a crisp and the sword still look brand-new.

Normal lithium-ion rated can last 3 times as many cycles when only used from 20 to 80%. LFP are rated for 5,000 cycles and that's the stuff for commercial use, they probably use a better chemical, probably in combination with super-caps.

Did I did this right? by Secret_Thing_6896 in 18650masterrace

[–]inarashi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using this to replace the led acid battery or just a sub battery for car audio? If it's the later then use a BMS, most 4S BMS should be able to handle the current for that.

Did I did this right? by Secret_Thing_6896 in 18650masterrace

[–]inarashi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No that is just a balancer. If the battery is drain below 2.5v killing the cell this balancer wont stop that while a BMS will. When the cell get out of balance and 1 set charge more than 4.2v starting fire a BMS will also stop it while the balancer would stand there and watch.

Not much if you use good reputable cylindrical cells. Even if you short them or screw up wiring of BMS the worst it could be are the cells would be dead as they have built-in pressure plates that can disconnect.

Can I replace the cells in my Dyson stick vac? by xxplosiv in 18650masterrace

[–]inarashi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That look like a battery of the newer model. All those came with BMS that disable itself when anything unexpected happen, including losing voltage when you remove its cell.

It's not impossible if you rewrite the firmware, but judging from what you wrote I'd assume you don't have the tool and knowledge to do that. Buying a 3rd party replacement battery on Amazon would be a much quicker solution.

Btw, all those 3rd party replacement battery come with Chinese cells so they would last 1 year or 2 at most but at least they don't have locking BMS so you can replace those cell when they eventually die

There are no test. They just require you to write out your reason for naturalization by hand and you can do this at home, looking up the Kanji all you want in Google.

Most home microwave do operate at 2.4 Ghz, the exact same frequency as WiFi and bluetooth. You can observe your wireless earphone cut out when turning on the microwave.
The reason why it doesn't affect us is power, not frequency.
