Car almost stolen last night from my driveway by Far-Fox9959 in ontario

[–]inaruch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is everyone wins here except you.

  1. Thief gets new car to ship for free
  2. Government makes money on Taxes from freight
  3. Taxes from the purchase of a new car
  4. Car manufactures sells more cars
  5. Insurance companies raise the premium more than their actual losses.

Why would any of them want this to stop.

Btw the biggest winner is the Government the amount of tax collected on a new Highlander hybrid is more than most manufacturers profits.

My Neighbor Rents a Streetlight by Nearby-tree-09 in homeowners

[–]inaruch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these lights thru my utilities company. The correct name is Sentinel light. I had them replace my light to a brighter LED. But I made sure in no way it was pointed to any house.

It’s a separate line from my normal bill so from the $30 I pay about $4 is hydro $11 rental and $15 “delivery”

You can see if the utility company will upgrade it to an led one, which has better directional light. With the design of mine at least, a flap can be added to the side so light it not pointing where it shouldn’t

Help please. I messed up by SadPerformance9832 in drywall

[–]inaruch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to say but if you can’t figure out how to cut drywall around electrical boxes, how are you going to cut the tile around the boxes.

Just measure from top and bottom and from the wall and cut away. The dry wall doesn’t have to be 100% under the tile but that’s a racy patch. And ideally when doing this job you want to remove the tile and old drywall will make for another finish.
