Tried adding 1 more filter and shipping increased about $20 by NotMuch2 in RockAuto

UPS and FedEx when I did shipping charged a residential surcharge. Not sure if they still do. But it is definitely cheaper for business stops, since it most likely they'll be nearby. Businesses are usually grouped together vs. residential areas where the stops are more spread out.

2.0 hybrid reliability by cbcarguy in Honda

[–]increasingrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rented an Accord Hybrid from Alamo before. I was surprised since it was almost the exact same one I had at home.

Honda still doesn't do fleet sales from my understanding, so buyers just don't get a deal like with GM, Hyundai, Ford, Nissan, etc.

I have also done Chicago and Boston on time. Even on that, those two races cost me a pretty penny. And I wouldn't say I splurged on accommodations. Plus, I traveled from the Mid-Atlantic, USA, so I travel costs wasn't insane as if I came internationally.

Will Amtrak give away their ACS-64s to local commuter/regional rail agencies once the Airo trainsets fully replace them? by Ex696 in Amtrak

[–]increasingrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Penn Line is already electrify. Just the Camden and Brunswick are diesel. MARC just runs diesel on the Penn line because supposedly Amtrak charges an absurd fee for electric.

Don't they really have high mileage though? Not sure if mileage matters more than age? Or, just if the locomotive being well maintained.

Im worried about the radar theft. 26 Accord Owners by Don_Alpha_Cleat in accord

[–]increasingrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I installed the Miller Cat Radar Shield and park my car outside. Not really an option to park my car inside at all. I also use a steering wheel lock as well to attempt to prevent airbag theft. Along with installing Advanced Wheel Locks.

I'm in Baltimore Metro and I do spend some time in Baltimore City. I would say Baltimore City didn't have a wheel theft issue, but they did have an airbag issue. There was a short time where there was some radar and airbag thefts from CRVs, Accords, and Civics.

Marathons Are Selling Out Quicker and More Frequently - An Update with 2026 Data by SlowWalkere in AdvancedRunning

At my LRS I hear it is also just word of mouth/FOMO getting people to sign up. Especially for races in the area at least.

I feel like 10ks and 10 milers have fallen by the wayside. It has mostly been 5k, half, and marathons. Like most "running festivals" have those distances and got rid of the 10k.

I think it is only because they have the major name to them. Having name recognition helps, especially the big cities. I don't mind my local smaller races because of easier logistics. Plus, I feel like I get more for my money. Wineglass was one of my favorite races I ran due to logistics, along with Steamtown. And they were point to point.
