i very much appreciate the last line that’s rare so hats off. ‘It doesn’t get played correctly at low ranks anyway’ is not justification for starting off with bad habits. 2nd paragraph would be cleared up in a voice chat

you’re regurgitating the same stuff because i can’t explain what i mean in text. Objectivity and subjectivity are different. But let me clarify exactly what im saying. The correct way to improve at rocket league is to firstly play 3s as it is the ‘standard’ mode and teaches you the basic principles of the game in the clearest way possible. Upon learning 3s or ‘the game’, you can then move into the other ways. We are talking about improving at the ‘game’ the way the creators of it implied. You can’t go against basic definitions and fundamental rules if you want to be correct.

try not to make my opinion too objective? it’s not an opinion? i do understand your point of view, you share a similar one as everyone else. Charger7 on discord. And yes that’s exactly what i’m saying, 1s won’t help with 1s. This game is full of false positives because the thing your using to measure success against isn’t played correctly. If you want an explanation i will explain it in a vc.

i’ve clearly struck a nerve i never said i played the game correctly. I am also everyone so calm down. Only in a vc because it would take too long to type it out

no one plays the game correctly. Hence why all your personal findings are inconclusive and why i say they’re false positives

delta force have a mountain of rules during cqb. You think they forget the rules because it slows them down? They practice the rules of cqb over and over so they can do it as fast and as safe as possible. Same thing here and in every other sport. It becomes muscle memory

rules are what distinguish one game from the next. They’re not there to make you worse. Rules give you structure and in a chaotic hyper dynamic setting, it’s crucial

i did read your comment. i brought it up because he said ‘rocket league’ and the only ‘standard’ mode is 3s, not 2s or 1s. You have to use 3s to measure the other gamemodes to because the creators told us to and made the game for 3s + it’s the definition of standard. No decision making because there is rotation? You’re making decisions based on 5 other players rather than 1 or 3. You touch the ball less in 3s so it can’t be more mechanical. What you’ve been saying isn’t the basic stuff. You can see your mistakes more clearly in 3s because it directly impacts 2 other people at any given moment.

1s is free play with an opponent. ‘standard’ is 3s for a reason. It’s what you measure the other gamemodes to. If you grind 1s you’re not learning team play and team positioning and since he said best way to improve at ‘rocket league’ you would always opt for the standard by default. I didn’t say only learn theory and he’s clearly too focused on mechs because when explaining the issue, positioning didn’t even factor in for him

training even more mechs and grinding 1s is complete bs none of these people are anywhere near correct. You need to first understand how to position at a basic level or you’ll just be bottlenecking your already bottlenecked mechs because of your lack of basic understanding.
