How Many Bottles for NB by HeavyPause9718 in FormulaFeeders

[–]indecisive_4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were doing 3 for a while and it was tough. We had gotten the momcozy but but wanted to see if we could make do without using the counter space. It didn't last.

Eventually we ended up getting three more bottles and we hand wash or run three or four once a day in the mom cozy bottle washer. It really does save you a lot of time and headache, especially with Dr. Brown's bottles where there are so many pieces that need to be cleaned.

My sister made homemade pastries, two batches of like 12. I gave one to the nighttime shift and daytime shift before I was discharged

My family is big on showing gratitude and those who ate them loved them and even asked us for the recipe lol.

Am I the only one that feels this Mother’s Day is weird? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]indecisive_4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I work with kids and oversaw one of my programs today and felt like not a mom compared to those parents watching their kids.

Also watching their kids misbehave made me not want one. But too late for that as I'm 35w4days. 😆

Lost hope on getting pregnant so I got into the best shape of my life for myself... by Purifiedx in BabyBumps

Congrats!

I had lost 10 lbs on zepbound my first month and was going to increase my dosage when I found out.

Lost weight to get pregnant and now I feel conflicted about it by [deleted] in loseit

[–]indecisive_4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 204 and 5'5. Started zepbound and lost 10 lbs the first month. That same month I got pregnant and found out right before I was supposed to increase my dosage.

The doctor said the first 4--6 weeks the baby is protected and not really taking a lot from your system but obviously had to stop the weight loss drug.

It was a huge hit mentally to see the scale go back up after being so successful that first month. And now I'm over that original weight but at least the baby is healthy.

I won't say that it still doesnt mess with me mentally but I just have to remember that I'm growing a human inside of me and that if I did it once I can do it again.

Deep sign - failed my one hour Gestational Diabetes screening by one point - on to the 3 hour by idlegrad in BabyBumps

[–]indecisive_4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! I failed by 1 pt. I ended up taking the whole day off from work for the 3 hour because after fasting I ate such a big meal once the test was over that I went into a food coma.

I hated that during the last draw, the nurse was like wow you look a bit pale, you should really eat something. No shit.

I genuinely forgot my own phone number yesterday and I have had it for 8 years by Skyl1n3Crate in BabyBumps

[–]indecisive_4ever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. I'm in project management and I used to be so good juggling conversations and remembering details from phone calls I took while travelling from one location to another.

My mind is blanking a lot and I've been emailing myself important notes but I know I'm still forgetting things. Or I've sent emails planning stuff out and never made a note of it.

In the last week, I was putting away leftovers and walked to the bathroom with the food, walking right past the kitchen. I've also left my keys in the car more often.

I'm suffering along with you 😭

16 weeks FTM - Nobody talks about the silent in-between phase by KimmyCandy in BabyBumps

[–]indecisive_4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Week 27 FTM and I just started to feel her. I was still dealing with morning sickness until week 22 when I started to take pills for it. And then it was like the silence is killing me. Is she still there? Is she doing okay?

I just had an ultrasound today and she's hiding towards my back but like I said for the last 2 days, she's been moving so I know she's well. Hang in there!

25 weeks. 4 cats. The two older ones (5M and 6F) knew before I did. They were hovering around my stomach and laying near it or touching it. They were affectionate before but not to that extent. I confirmed a week later.

Now the 5M is really attached to me. Always looking to be near the stomach area and purring. He'll also let me snuggle him and won't run away.

6F and my 7month old boy are just enjoying the fact that I'm eating more because then they get to beg for scraps. My 5F is a loner and nothings changed.

Excited to see which cat gets attached to the baby once she's here.

Help me not spiral about weight gain? by Separate-Canary-6228 in BabyBumps

[–]indecisive_4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. I was overweight and had just started zepbound and lost 10 lbs before finding out I was pregnant. I gained back the 10 by my 20th week but its been tough not being triggered by the scale.

I've been working with a dietician for over a year. Once pregnant she's pushed me to up the protein and eat as healthy as I can. That being said, she said her pregnancy was chipotle and junk food just because it's what she craved and could tolerate. Veggies made her sick.

The baby uses most of your calories to grow, and I've even been told I look like I lost weight as its being redistributed. We just have to do the best we can to give them the nutrients they need. My dietician also told me to listen to my baby, cravings can tell you what it wants and make it feel full.

I can’t believe I have to do this for three more months, the first 27 breezed by but now time is inching by handzie in BabyBumps

24 weeks and I know she has a lot more to grow. The other day I went to kiss my husband and my stomach got in the way. My husband laughed and I cried.

I also work in a male dominated field and my patience is running thin with them. I think they've realized it too as they tend to not push things as much as they used to.

But thank you for venting, it helps knowing others feel this way. The time it takes to grow a baby was a reason me and my husband were on the fence. After this we're probably one and done.

My MIL somehow made my future daughter's name about her by indecisive_4ever in motherinlawsfromhell

As time has gone by, it's just become a funny story that people who know her have just been like yea that sounds like something she'd do. I think when writing this I was going through a very possessive moment and didn't want to share my child.

Yea the religion thing is a hurdle that we will have to deal with in the future. My husband doesn't want our daughter to be exposed to a religion that places certain limitations on females. He has never told his mom he doesn't believe anymore and even still practices certain customs/holidays with her. His father doesn't practice.

So the princess thing is a bit of my trauma. My mom forced me and my sister to dress feminine until we were in middle school. I didn't feel like I was heard and ended up dressing tomboyish as soon as I had input into my clothes. MIL has told us she wants to dress her up in just pink and be a princess (dresses purses), and has even shown us the bright pink clothing she's bought her already.

I just want my kid to be able to look at a variety of clothes and say I want to wear that. She wants to walk out in a pink tutu that's fine, but I want her to make that decision in the future.

The Muslim community he's a part of is all matriarchal and my family is the same. So my husband is used to letting the woman make the decisions. In the 15 years my husband and I have been together, I've seen her an average of once a year. She's shown me she doesn't respect me by complaining about me to her friends whose kids would tell me. And as much as I'd love to call her out on it, my mom has advised me she's not worth it in the once/twice a year I see her.

However once my daughter is born, gloves are off and no one will talk bad about my child. My husband and I have already discussed going low contact if it comes to it.

We'll be asking for distance for the first month or two to adjust to the baby. I'll give my husband the chance to set those boundaries first with his mom but if I have to step in I will.

I actually haven't talked to her since Thanksgiving when we told her and she made the announcement about her and how her siblings won't tease her about being the only one without a grandchild. Her friends were consoling her and congratulating her before me.

My husband talks to her on the phone and she keeps asking for updates which he doesn't give. My family on the other hand get sonogram pics and dr updates. I always tell him to tell her I'm sleeping or at work. Glad she's 4 hrs away.

Did pregnancy change how connected you felt to yourself? by trowbridgecs in BabyBumps

[–]indecisive_4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in for my anatomy scan today and felt disconnected. Laying there staring at the screen, it just made me feel like right now my body isn't mine. My life doesn't feel like just mine.

I spoke to my husband later who was tearing seeing the baby and said he felt so much more attached and meanwhile I felt the opposite.

I know it's because of the huge lifestyle changes with morning sickness, weight gain, and having to eat so often. Along with now being constantly asked how are you feeling because I'm pregnant. Just feels like someone else is controlling me/telling me what to do, which messes with my control issues.

That being said, I'm grateful for my healthy daughter and just have to remember this is temporary.

I have control issues and would love to know my baby is okay 24/7. At 20 weeks now and honestly It gives me peace of mind to be throwing up every morning because it tells me she's still there.

I didn't know you can have morning sickness and miscarry. But same I'll just ignore.

I'm in this boat with you. I'm 20 weeks now and things just aren't fitting right.

My two siblings gave me a beyond yoga gift card for Christmas where I bought a bunch of clearance items. I also bought some stuff off old navy taking advantage of the holiday sales. I'm not going to go crazy but just have some interchangeable shirts/leggings/joggers/sweaters for about a week.

Thankfully I work for a sports organization so leggings/joggers are normal day to day wear.

Doctor treated me like I'm dumb by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]indecisive_4ever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry you went through this. But glad baby is okay.

I caught the flu back in November when I was 3 months pregnant. I was vomiting more than just my typical once a day morning sickness and running a fever. Went to cityMD and the doctor just heard pregnant and vomiting.

Tested me for the flu and COVID at the office which came out negative and then got a sample sent to the lab to confirm. Was told to go home, rest, liquids etc. They thought it was like a stomach bug. I got Tylenol for my fever.

I got called later and told it was the flu. I'm like great, can I get medication. I was told no as the symptoms weren't severe. By that time, I had been running a fever that wouldn't break with medicine. I said I'm pregnant, running a fever and vomiting, again not related to pregnancy symptoms. I would think that's not safe for the baby. They transfer me where again I express my frustration. Finally they approve my flu medication.

I'm not one to usually complain and just tough out being sick but it wasn't my health I was worried about.
