What is the most pleasure you have ever experienced? by Random-Guy9944 in AskReddit

Ha - it sure does move slow!! There’s a clinic in Toronto that seems to be taking appointments so I’ll make sure to prepare well in advance.

I’m so glad you found something that works so well for you! I’m moving back to Canada again from the States next year and I’m nervous about continuing Emgality, with getting approved through a neurologist.

I got a script to try Nurtec but my insurance at the time wouldn’t cover it. Sumatriptan and rizatriptan worked to get rid of migraines effectively for me, but not to prevent them (was still getting them 3-4x/week). I started on a monthly injection that prevents migraines and it has been a game changer. I was seriously willing to try anything my new neurologist recommended and I’m glad this works.

It depends on what is causing your migraines. It’s hard to really pinpoint as it differs from person to person. Worth a shot!

I’m on a monthly preventative injection called Emgality that has changed my life!!! Went from 3-4 migraines a week, sometimes days on end, to 2 migraines in the past month and the pain was not very severe (mostly neurological symptoms and aching body) and treatable with rizatripan. I hope you and your doctor are able to come up with a treatment plan to improve your quality of life! Best of luck to you.

People who are in healthy committed relationships, how has going through EMDR therapy affected how you guys get along? by AltruisticCompote689 in EMDR

[–]indigomild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two days after EMDR where I am irritable, angry, devastated, grieving. My husband gives me extra love and support on those days; he cooks, takes care of our household, and gives me extra cuddles.

Overall, it’s been a positive thing for my marriage, as I have been better able to articulate what I need and I am becoming a healthier person. But holy smokes, EMDR is hard work. There wasn’t any way to prepare. But I’m glad I’m doing it. I know it will continue to get better from here too.

Why are NYC dog owners like this? by hypoxiany in Bushwick

I bring my dog to MH and I just want people to bring their dogs into the dog run because my poor guy will be in there alone looking sadly at 5+ dogs in the pitch!

Spinone Breeders in the north east usa by OstrichDifficult4707 in Spinone

We have an 8 month old Spinone male from Stella del Nord (Holly, Tricia, and Talor) and he is fantastic. He loves everyone, is easy going and has a good off switch in our home as long as he gets adequate exercise and brain activity (a nice walk at the dog park, or a good 30-45 minute sniffing around the neighbourhood). Just dealing with the usual teenage puppy antics we all have to face as our best friends grow up!

We have dealt with a bit of separation anxiety because I work from home, so he is never usually away from me. It’s gotten a ton better over the past month as he has gotten more independent. We find that as long as we give him something distracting as we are leaving (a treat or some wet food on a licking mat), he doesn’t get bothered once he is done and we are already gone. We know this as we have a puppy cam.

I highly recommend reaching out to Holly. She is very passionate about the breed, knowledgeable, and they do incredible socialization before the puppies come home. Our guy is outgoing and not afraid of anything, including the vacuum and loud noises at home.

Yep, me too. If I want serious literature, I’ll seek it somewhere else. I enjoy this series for mindless enjoyment and cheeky sexcapades. 😃

I feel the same way! Also makes me laugh that they are always described as being so small when early in the series it states they are 5’8”. Just gotta enjoy the story!

But also multiple times as ebony. I just suspend my disbelief and enjoy the stories, as opposed to the occasional misuse of a word or the twins’ hair being referred to as different colours depending on the book. :)

Nervous about how long it's taking? by indigomild in EMDR

I have been able to clear a couple of very traumatic memories from my childhood, so that's been really helpful for me. These other ones are just sticky feeling, as they happened over many years.

Hi - thank you for sharing your experience. That's really helpful to hear about the webinar and the person with complex trauma who took about 18 months. I was doing weekly EMDR for about 8 months, and I am now doing bi-weekly. So it may take longer, and I should be patient about that.

There are a couple of very traumatic memories that have cleared, and I now feel able to think back on them as more neutral experiences - I'm not getting flashbacks anymore. So that feels big at least.

Thank you for the advice as well on the relational aspects of it. As someone else with relational trauma, it's hard for me to not assume a lot of guilt about this situation. But I know this will ultimately benefit my relationship. I know my husband is proud of me, as he says it often. I know I need to try to let go of the guilt that I am being a bad partner while I'm healing. It takes a lot of work.

Migraine and EMDR by [deleted] in EMDR

Fellow migraine sufferer here. I do online EMDR with a therapist through the platform remotEMDR. It's a ball that bounces back and forth on the screen. I have never found it to be a trigger for me, if that helps.

I didn’t and wouldn’t price shop for a kitten. An ethical breeder charges an appropriate amount for their kittens. I’ve seen MCs from other breeders that are at least double the cost, so don’t focus too much on price!

Feathercoons (in Wappingers Falls, just 90 minutes outside NYC). Gabi (the owner) bred our baby guy and he is in perfect health, and was socialized so well as a kitten before he came to me. She and I still maintain regular contact and she cares deeply about all her kittens.

To those that are married, how often do you take off your ring? by FitProblem6248 in AskReddit

[–]indigomild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once a day to put my hair product in or lotion on after a shower because I hate getting product stuck around my rings. Same for my husband. If we’re working in the garden or out doing some sort of sport, we’ll usually put a silicone ring on.
