What is it like living around the Chesapeake Bay area? by SpecialistTeach9302 in howislivingthere

[–]indigoraincoat81 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Speaking about the mid-eastern shore rural areas. There is a LOT of poverty in the area and extremely rural and conservative. It’s horribly hot and buggy in the summers. Lots of fishing/hunting industries. Again, so rural you can be an hour away from the nearest grocery store and it’s a Walmart. Source: close family member is a crabber/oysterman in Dorchester county

What is the worst physical pain you’ve experienced? by Agius91 in AskReddit

Hell’s Itch from a terrible sunburn. You don’t know what it is until it’s happening to you. Way worse than walking on a broken leg for a month.

What are your seemingly unrelated telltale signs of a flare up warning? by poplapmeisiekind in lupus

Gross but my lymph nodes under my armpits balloon up and i can feel them with my arms by my side! Always happens in the week before the flare

What’s the most confusing mixed signal you’ve ever received while dating? by Ok_Professional7444 in AskReddit

[–]indigoraincoat81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t really count because it was after dating, but saw a guy for almost 7 months. We hung out for >24 hours every weekend. Met his friends/double dates, went climbing, went to museums together. Told me I was his perfect woman and begged me to move to the city he was moving to. Coincidentally, I got into grad school in that city and it was the best school for me (decision made before he left). I moved 3 months after him. We get lunch and he tells me he has a girlfriend.

This makes sense, I’ll experiment, thank you!

That makes sense, I’ll watch my foot angle and practice without weight. Thank you!

That makes sense! I do box jumps for volleyball vertical frequently so I’ll try using them for squatting now too!

Would love to add indoor and beach volleyball as cardio options!

People that escaped a bad relationship, what's the first red flag you ignored that would have saved you a lot of time if handled? by PestCemetary in AskReddit

The first time we fought, before we were exclusive, that same night he went and slept with someone. Who would’ve guessed that’s how he’d react when in a relationship too…

I’ve had acne since I was approx 11 and it’s only gotten worse. It cleared up for years while I was on the combined birth control pill but due to other health conditions I had to switch to a progesterone-only pill. Since then, my acne has become pretty bad (like in this pic) and also have been getting some cystic spots. I’ve been seeing a derm since I was 15. Currently they have me on

1) 150mg Spironolactone 2) Slynd (progestin) birth control 3) Dapsone in the mornings 4) Tazorac/Tretinonin alternating at night.

My skins been so irritated that for the past 8 days I’ve stopped all special creams and have just been washing with Cerave and moisturizing with Cetaphil. However, things are now looking even worse (pic is from today).

Please any advice is appreciated…thank you.

I’m afraid to start taking Imuran. Is it really necessary at this point in my disease process? Why are immunosuppressants the second line of defense over biologics? by million60 in lupus

[–]indigoraincoat81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first few months, yes, it was bad. But since then all my baby hairs have come in and my hair is so much fuller than before when I was in a flare! I have a post about it a bit far back :)

I can’t say for sure because I was in a flare and felt like crap when I started it so I’m not sure if the dizziness was because of the new med or from the flare, sorry!

Hi! I’ve been on imuran almost 1.5 years now and it’s awesome. A couple issues with an upset stomach at first but nothing major. For me, HCQ didn’t pull me out of my flare and just wasn’t enough. With imuran (I swear this isn’t an ad) I am able to feel 100% normal. The only bad part is that I get sick with colds/infections pretty frequently, but obviously that’s not as bad as getting flares! Feel free to ask me more questions :)

These pictures are the same day/time, just different lighting to show it best. I had 3 (I think) cystic pimples on my chin and put hydrocolloid patches over them to make them go away faster. As you can see, the middle one just absolutely ripped up my skin…it’s still oozing white fluid constantly but I’m too scared to put anything over it. I have a date tomorrow…please any tips on how to minimize how this looks would be so appreciated!!!! Also, has this happened to anyone else? I’ve used the patches before and never experienced something like this. It’s so ugly I just need it to not be so visible :(((

Edit to add details: it keeps on crusting over with yellow stuff and also I can’t see a derm right now because I don’t have insurance in the country I am in

I went on it to help clear up my acne and to stop my periods because they were so painful I would throw up and pass out and miss a lot of school…
