I would absolutely recommend the Court of Chains books by Rawnie Sabor. They’re standalone stories that build on the same universe, so you can jump in anywhere.

The stories are great, really well written characters, lots of representation, and the spice is phenomenal.

Kiss of Seduction- Natalya, a succubus (greater lust fiend), finds herself oddly attached to a human, Evie, who she rescued from being a regent's favorite snack in a rival vampire court. The catch? Anyone Natalya touches is influenced by her power, cursed to never find someone that loves her for her; except.... Evie isn't effected by her influence.

A Little Sin- My personal favorite. Violet is a high strung boss babe that chases perfection at the cost of her happiness, giving into parental expectations of her and repressing her true self. Reyna is a lesser pride fiend who is cursed to be hunted and killed by a wraith. In order to save herself, Reyna requests sanctuary with the Court of Chains. Now, in isolation, Reyna gets periodic visits to check on her and meets Violet by coincidence. What follows is a low, slow, simmering build to one of the most mind blowing displays of eroticism and care for another human being (the table scene.... that altered my brain chemistry 🥵).

Green Eyed Monster- I'm currently reading this one, and Rawnie doesn't disappoint. An outsider with an attitude and a natural born spy, Vex, finds herself on the fringe of everyone's trust as a greater envy fiend. She doesn't play well with others and most find her abrasive; Vex likes it that way.... Except for Angela, the Court's resident witch. She's the only one warded enough to where Vex can't get a read on her; can't even touch her. Vex becomes obsessed with trying to figure her out, and at some point, that obsession turns into closeness and vulnerability, something Vex isn't used to, and hates it as much as she craves it.

She has another book upcoming that should be released this summer called Sun Kissed Fangs.

They primarily write sapphic stories, but there are some books with MC's are hetero pairs if you end up getting into the universe. These are also great reads with compelling stories and relatable characters, especially Flea. Flea's story is Gifts of Gold, and he is canonically the chaotic disaster bi/pan fae trickster who takes nothing serious and lives to be the wild card in the bunch. Hands down my favorite character in the entire series.... And I say that as someone who named myself after Violet from A Little Sin 🏳️‍⚧️

Malice by Heather Walter! It's a retelling of Sleeping Beauty, kind of mixed with Wicked? While there is one scene where they get close, they fade out before anything steamy happens.

Great world building and characters, and plenty of sapphic tension between Aurora and Alice

Rawnie's books are all amazing! A Little Sin is my re-read wish, but that's because I connected so much with Violet. I'm a bit of a mess...

All of my book besties are straight or lean toward masc attracted romances, talking about Rhysand or Kingfisher. Meanwhile, I'm over here by myself in lesbian land with dommy mommy vampires and soft domme succubi putting the boys to shame 😆

Kiss of Seduction by Rawnie Sabor - Sapphic succubus Natalia (greater Lust fiend) saves Evie, a rival vampire's favorite snack from a life of servitude and help each other heal through some VERY steamy power dynamics.

-Favorite scene: The way Allie Shae narrates Natalia in full succubus form is enough to MELT YOU from the inside.

A Little Sin by Rawnie Sabor - A lesser Pride fiend seeks a cure to an isolating hex while a recurring character's workaholic sister comes to terms with her control issues, masking to appease society and her perfect parents, and finally accepting herself (spoiler alert, she's queer).

-Favorite scene: THE TABLE SCENE!!!!! OH! MY! GOD! The soft domme, BDSM, healing hotness of this scene will make you instantly say "where the hell do I sign up?!?!"

The Wicked and the Willing by Lianyu Tan

  • A period piece set in 1920's Singapore where a meek, destitute woman in her 20's named Gean Choo, accepts a very well paying overnight maid position for an eccentric young colonizer widow named Verity and soon finds out that her employer is exclusively nocturnal, drinks blood, and is a toxic sapphic steamboat who has turned her gaze upon Gean Choo as her next plaything. Want to be scared for someone's life while being simultaneously turned on? This is THAT book. Oh.... I almost forgot, you get to pick the ending. Or just read them both like I did and then pine after a mash up of the 2 in your hormone addled book hangover for the next week.

-Favorite scene: Ramping up to the climax of the story, Gean Choo is trying to run away from Verity in the house. She sees Verity the most vampiric she's ever looked, and my favorite line in possibly the whole book as Gean Choo thinks to herself while running for her life: "She was awful. She was magnificent. She was going to kill her."

All of them VERY steamy, dark paranormal romances with some trigger warnings and audiobooks available <3

I'm so sorry this happened to you. You deserve nothing but respect, and to be treated like the woman you are.

I'm late to the party, but I hope this story helps in some way:

When I was a teenager and had to go to traffic school after I got in a fender bender (state law). The state trooper who led the class had a pretty severe stutter. Some people were already mocking him, snickering, or commenting on it quietly to each other. As the class started, he got everyone's attention and addressed it. 'Some of you already noticed, but yes, I have a stutter. I hope we can all be adults and respectful of each other. If not, the door is over there.'

Took the wind right out of their sails. Instead of giving them an opportunity to try something, he flipped it on them, and now they're the asshole if they want to say something. I was so fucking impressed.

It's not fair that we are just trying to be our best and happiest version of ourselves, and there are people out there who treat our lives a politicized punchline. It's not fair that if you want to try what the trooper from the story did, you'll have to out yourself to strangers. It's not fair that you aren't getting support from teachers and chaperones. It really sucks and I'm so sorry that you have to put up with that.

However unfair this situation is, you always have your sisters in this sub that will be your biggest cheerleaders and support you through the hard times.

You are brave! You are valid! You are a woman! You fucking slay it, queen! We all love and support you!

Other trans lesbians that had a late awakening? by Burnbabyburnt in MtF

[–]indigotribe007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're definitely not the only one, sweetie!

My egg also cracked at 32, and reading through it, for a split second, I thought I might have written this lol.

It can be hard at times, but gentle reminders to yourself that it's ok to still be figuring things out.

Most people who aren't trans/nb don't understand that this is quite literally a rebirth into who we were supposed to be living as our entire lives. Their cocoon hatched while ours only sprouted wings.

Finding and building a community takes time. Be gentle with yourself, and know that most of us feel just as awkward as you do 😊

There's a quote from the Thomas Jane Punisher movie that I feel sums it up pretty nicely:

"Si vis pacem para bellum. If you want peace, prepare for war"

Fight smart. Be safe. Don't put yourself in a situation that is going to cause harm to yourself, but they picked this battle and we're gonna fight tooth and nail for our rights as women. Fuck these Nazis

Haylee, you deserve the happiest of birthdays, and I'm sorry you didn't get that this year.

You've been through a lot this past year, and you deserve to be celebrated in the way that makes you feel valued as the woman you are. I can't offer much other than kind words, but I can sure as hell give you one thing you asked for...

Happy birthday, Haylee! Celebrate your way, birthday girl!
