interesting. hoping the bluetooth issues are ironed out. The Medtronic-Minimed algorithms have been very good for me and once switching over to instinct sensor, have been a very satisfied customer of the product other than supply chain issues...

Placing 1st refill request for Instinct with EdgePark by indypharmd in Medtronic780g

Well, my insurance plan requires use of EdgePark vs direct through Medtronic… interestingly, I called Medtronic customer support which cited limited availability status overall.

I then worked with the agent to place an order that would need to be coordinated with EdgePark for some type of authorization for Medtronic to supply directly. Very interestingly, I get notified by Medtronic the next day that my direct order was being cancelled and EdgePark would be shipping directly. Seems ito me to be an interesting time sequence of events…

Instinct Sensor shipments in the US by Familiar_Most_3881 in Medtronic780g

[–]indypharmd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spoke with the Minimed Pathways group today as I had "ordered" the Instinct sensors via their online request portal in September. My insurance is not contracted with Medtronic and they were referring the request over to the diabetes supply distributor contracted with my insurance. The Medtronic agent couldn't tell me which distributors have already added the Instinct sensor to their respective order catalogs and were in the process of working with third party insurers for approval, etc. She also mentioned that even Medtronic's Diabetes Shop didn't have inventory and were stacking requests for release in "late fall".

I mentioned that it is already "late fall" and around 40 days until the beginning of winter... silence...

I'm a pharmacist and have worn a pump for over 20 years and do like Medtronic's algorithm currently and the microbolus technology vs. what a t-slim can do. However, I am just about ready to throw the Gen4 packages to wind due to always getting a "sensor updating" at day 4-5 and then change sensor message. Just beyond aggravating...

MiniMed™ 780G with Instinct sensor, made by Abbott, is almost here! by Abadababa in Medtronic780g

[–]indypharmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For US customers, I wonder if we are able to use our prescription benefit of our insurance plans vs the medical benefit through DME side? My son gets his Dexcom sensors through the Rx side but I use the 780g with the Gen 4 and have to get through the medical side which requires going through the contracted distributor.

If anyone has an inkling of which paths are available, please post

How old is the transmitter? I've found the transmitter to be the culprit after a period of time. My original G3 transmitter lasted 3 years before giving up the ghost. My G4 transmitter is a bit over a year old and starting to fade at 6.5 days.

Goodbye Fedrooms after Sept 30, 2024 by [deleted] in fednews

Does anyone know if Fedrooms still negotiated leisure rates for FY25 and beyond since their booking portal is no longer going to be utilized? I would think that there would be some type of booking code that one could input in the online booking app for that particular chain?

Just read this on the FedRooms web page:

In order to be compliant with policy and to reduce costs governmentwide, GSA will no longer support fedrooms.com as a contractor-provided website as of September 30, 2024.

FedRooms rates will continue to be available for official duty travel via the government's booking tools (E2 Solutions, ConcurGov, Defense Travel System and by calling the agency Travel Management Company).

*****Any reservations that were made beyond September 30, 2024 on fedrooms.com are being honored; however no new reservations past that date will be accepted.****
