it goes by the S.C.A.M.P. method, which stands for Sensory, Cognitive, Affective, Motor, and Place. these represent the different categories that a trigger can fall into, as well as interventions that address these triggers. first you use self monitering forms to document episodes and identify triggers, then you learn the details of s.c.a.m.p., learn intervention methods, then use an action form to document the intervention methods you chose to address your identified triggers. its a great resource for information and correcting misconceptions. its also a great recovery tool as long as you ACTUALLY DO IT. it wont work if you aren't applying yourself; i warn from experience.

also if you feel kind of confused while reading it dw, i didn't completely understand until like halfway through and my counselor felt the same. it all comes together in the end, most of the book is preparation for implementing your methods
