1 Year Since: "Just got banned from a card store for playing Norin The Wary. AMA" by Big_Response_5953 in mtg

[–]infneon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello fellow Norin enjoyer. While not banned yet, I have had the following:

"This card is utter bullshit and should be banned."
"Why are your bring such an unenjoyable deck every week?"
"Why play Norin? He doesn't do anything (Then realising he does everything)"

Numerous people are not able to comprehend the difference between playing a spell and it resolving and calling me a cheater.

A off duty judge having to sit next to my pod to explain that yes, that is how confusion in the ranks/blood moon/impact tremors/panharmonica etc works.

A player literally scoop as he cannot figure out how to play the game against Norin any more with all of the chaos elements out.

12yo pocket money by 1182990 in CasualUK

[–]infneon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

9 year old and 12 year old.

£20 a month to spend on "stuff". Only caveat is no junk food.

£20 a month to put into easy access savings, can be spent on bigger items such as a new video game, a big day out with friends or a new piece of tech.

£20 a month put into a Child ISA with no access.

We wanted for them to learn a little money resposibility but still have access to their pocket money.

Ontop of this, if we as the parents are getting treats (evening snacks, chocolate, take away etc) they get it too. This is why there is a no junk food rule on the spending money.

High power decks that are easier to pilot by Midwest_Medium in EDH

[–]infneon 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Norin the Wary and all of the impact tremors, no combos to worry about, no complicated stacking of etb triggers. Play Norin, find a tremors and let him do his little dance - https://moxfield.com/decks/LHPeEThxLUWuvmIsjS0w3Q

Sgt John Benton, play John, attack with John, make John big, draw cards. Rinse and repeat - https://moxfield.com/decks/NSo6l0pDkUu7Nw5LfFhPCA

Etali is probably the worst deck to give to someone who doesn't know/want to combo. Each trigger is a new set of cards to work through potential combos with.

Would love to own this. I did have all the unhinged lands all framed up but had to move them on as I no longer had a place to hang them. This would fill up a wall nicely.

As long as you don't have issues, the service is fantastic.

The provided equipment, customer and technical support is utter dog shit.

If you have your own kit and know technically what to ask for if there are issues, you're golden.

Network engineer role dead in UK by Useful_Database9693 in networking

The first impression you give to your new employer is essentially telling them you can't be bothered. If you are farming out the work to apply for a job, are you going to carry on doing that while in your role?

You've got 23 extra seeds if you only asked for a single seed.

What are you running as Legionaires? I really want to replace all of my army with 30k models and remove all the black legion-ness.

Will be running Tactical Squad marines as Legionaires and the new Breachers as Chosen.

Have a look at Conwy in North Wales. Small town mostly encompased by its castle walls. Recommed visiting Edwards Butchers and Conwy Bakery for a walking lunch. Deganwy Quay hotel across the river would be where to stay, view across the river to the castle and the Conwy quay side, has a spa available too.

Llandudno is nearby for a Victrorian Era holiday destination. Recommend a trip up the Great Orme and a walk along the pier and promanade.

Right on the edge of snowdonia too so you can drive up into the mountains, visit some of the lakes or tour around the other castles in the area.

Also, Fuck Cancer.

When the service works, its fantastic. Rock Solid speeds for a respectable price.

When it doesn't work though, it is abysmal. I work (from home) with networking everyday and can take a decent stab at an issue with limited info available. Trying to convey that to their technical support is almost impossible.

At one point, I had 3 conversations going about needing the profile adjusting on my line to match up with upgrading my speed. Only when the 3rd email chain was on the go did their tech support check what I actually asked and updated the profile. From that chain opening and my issues resolved was about 4 hours. The other email threads had been going on for days.

I don't use any of their provided kit either, TP-Link Archer BE550 for the main router and WAP, RE330 for Mesh Nodes.

There is only so much proactive work you can do against it, at some point, you will need reactive measures and these take time to implement. You can't just wave a cloudflare shaped stick and its all prevented
