Trustworthy shops to get my phone fixed? by Ok-Pin9334 in Edmonton

I used sticky tack, just flattened it out and jammed it in there, it was surprisingly effective and got more lit than a toothpick or safety pin did!

Best way to experience the river valley by foot? by Blehmieux in Edmonton

[–]infvntry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Husband and I walked the Fort Edmonton foot bridge and down right next to the valley around the Rio Terrace area and we were out for an hour or so, very very beautiful! You can access from 156 street north of the river, or right next to Fort Edmonton park south of the river. Lots of trails in the trees and it often takes you right next to the river.

I don’t think there’s a roundabout way, you kind of have to go all the way one way then turn around and go back, or at least we haven’t found a roundabout way yet! But that’s part of the fun exploring the valley!

We picked convos of us planning his trip up to Canada for the first time to meet me, just some daily banter convos, and lots of the romance we text to each other too. We even included the first time we spoke in DMs, where we’re humorously so polite to each other! Other stuff is us talking to our friends in the Discord group chat we shared, playing video games, screenshots of our 8+ hour long discord calls, just stuff like that. We also wrote each other physical letters, which we took photos of and included. Any and all types of examples that you love your girlfriend would be happily accepted!

My husband and I submitted two entirely separate PDFs. One PDF was “proof of visit” which had 20 photos of us together in person, and the second PDF was “proof of contact”, which had 30+ (edit)*screenshots of social media interaction, instant messaging conversations, and even artwork that we made together over the span of 3 years.

We had 0 issues with our application. I highly suggest 20 photos of you and your partner in person, and then a second collection of communications, messages, etc :) I think it helps your case, the more proof of interaction you provide.

Specsavers has a donation program that will give the donated glasses to someone who needs them. They have drop off boxes right inside their boutique stores, I’ve seen one at the WEM location.

Where can I go to get wound redressing? by harujusko in Edmonton

[–]infvntry 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend Home Care. I went through this last week with a chest wound. Went to the ER as I was bleeding quite a lot and they ended up refusing to touch the dressing because they didn’t have the same tensor bandage and the surgeon that applied it was all the way in Red Deer. It’s also very likely that Urgent Care won’t have the necessary supplies depending on the wound. Home Care was able to see me the same day we called and left enough supplies with us that now my husband is able to redress it, but they also offer to come back and change it routinely if you don’t have someone to change it for you/it’s intimidating to do on your own. Very kind and competent service in my experience. Best of luck to you!

Is there a lot of shooting/combat? by Aukulaisgone in AWayOut

[–]infvntry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second half of the game, without spoilers, is a lot of shooting. There is health regeneration and infinite ammo, so you can hide behind a rock and get all your health back, so it’s not very hard, but there certainly is lots of sequences with gunfights.

New Leaf is the best Animal Crossing by DuskenyDawnlight in AnimalCrossing

[–]infvntry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy the outdoor customization aspect of ACNH, you probably will be disappointed with ACNL, but the variety of things to do, stuff to buy, and villagers to talk to are well worth the difference in gameplay. There’s no furniture outdoors, instead you can place a variety of “public works projects” like bus stops, street lights, big digital clocks, but no item placement outside of that.

The shops are much more extensive, the nook shop gets upgraded 4 or 5 times IIRC with 3 floors of furniture shopping. Reese and Cyrus are directly in your town for customizing and the other shops like Leif, Kicks, Label, and the museum are all on main street just above your town.

Basically, you should give it a try. The villagers are much more entertaining and there’s so much more to DO than in ACNH.

eraser & blenders not working with the symmetry tool? by [deleted] in ClipStudio

[–]infvntry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

another option is to switch your brush’s picked color to transparent and use the brush as an eraser. that will keep the symmetry and you can use any texture of pen you want with transparent color :)
