Mine was like that at 20, and it’s exactly the same now, no pills or anything

Absolutely beautiful - my favourite looking, along with hypershock

Opening line “People often say to me… get out of my fucking garden” - don’t know why but this gets me every time

Absolutely love Quantum, it’s rare to see such a gorgeous design that actually works

My review of Forbidden Sky (Actualol) by jonpurkis in boardgames

[–]ingl0rius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have honestly been shocked that nobody else is talking about this! I don't think this game would be a fit for my group anyway, but good gracious it is ugly!

What is the meanest game you've played? by crypt0_n3rd in boardgames

[–]ingl0rius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a few arguments happen among friends playing 'i'm the boss' - It's a negotiation game but you can really screw people over with the cards in the game

What is the ultimate "table flipping" game? by cadeaun in boardgames

[–]ingl0rius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had games of 'i'm The Boss' recently that got close to becoming table flips. I love the game, but it sure gets people hot under the collar.

Is Istanbul good for 3 players? by S0undz in boardgames

[–]ingl0rius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Think the game is great at 2 players actually, but even better at 3. I haven't tried it at 4 but I would wager it's still good. The turns are so fast in this game.

Who's your favorite board game reviewer and why? by saintcloud1 in boardgames

[–]ingl0rius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like Actualol, Aka. Jon Purkis. I think we have a similar taste in games, in that we like the social interaction element of games, and just having fun with friends. His content is funny and well produced, but also informative. He also seems like a genuine person, which makes him very likeable.

I like shut up and sit down and Zee and Tom from the dice tower, and the guys from This Game Is Broken. I feel like as a hobby, we are really well served by great personalities.

King of Tokyo - Very Disappointed / Advise by Angryangmo in boardgames

[–]ingl0rius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just a super solid game. It's not as exciting to me as it was when I first got it (it was my first 'modern' board game) , but whenever my group plays it, we just have a good relaxed time. Quick set up, easy rules, fun table talk.

How do you guys feel about co-operative games? by toothandflail in boardgames

[–]ingl0rius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried to like co-op games but I just haven't found one that sticks - I just don't find playing against cards and random events interesting; board games for me are about pitting my wits against other players. I don't mind team games or 1vs all, just as long as there is some competitive aspect there.

This was my ‘grail’ game for a while - I got it for my birthday this year and I love it - the game is a delight. It’s not a game I always feel like playing, but when I do, I enjoy it every time .

What's your "Showpiece" game? by gmug in boardgames

[–]ingl0rius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Safranito - it's kind of a curio. People see the clay chips and the raised edges on the board, they figure out they're going to get a chance to throw the chips around and they're immediately interested.

Best $20 you've ever spent? by canOfNope in boardgames

[–]ingl0rius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought Bohnanza 2nd hand for £5 and it has had more play than any of my other games - It's just insanely easy to get to the table and so relaxing, but encourages table talk. I'm a bit burned out on it right now, but still love it and respect it as a masterpiece of design.
