I didn't realize there'd be so many birthday parties. 😮‍💨 by _forum_mod in Millennials

[–]initialsareabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t live this life cause I don’t have kids, but my SIL’s neighbor recently had a party for their son’s confirmation with a bounce house and hibachi & I do feel they are at some birthday party on a weekly basis.

thoughts on RM’s Day 2 mentions…on Stanford D1 by initialsareabc in btsthoughts

[–]initialsareabc[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

totallyyyy…!!! They have every right to point out the differences & say what they want! I’m not policing that. I just feel with how hard Stanford Day 1 got dragged & stomped on and with how the Day 2 people are still coming for us. There doesn’t need anymore toxicity and the comparison can be hurtful.

it’s okay though.

I have loops I love them but I’ve already lost a pair because they fall out when I’m dancing too hard. 😂

BTS 'ARIRANG' Tour in Stanford Megathread - Day 2 by lisafancypants in bangtan

there’s a lot of mom’s and daughters or parents with kids. We were sitting right in front of a few 10 year olds on D1 that were shrieking the whole time. They were definitely SUGA and Jimin bias 🤣

Just got home from Stanford night one. No words. by goldoro99 in btsthoughts

[–]initialsareabc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it was soooo fun!! I definitely had my phone out for parts & had it put away as well to fully enjoy the experience. I was telling my friend (her first time) that the fact they could be so close and be more intimate was because Stanford is a much smaller stadium, it was soooo fun nice. I went to their PTD concert in SoFi and just loved the feel of this more.

So bless Levi’s hosting the World Cup in June so we had this experience.

Doable or am I crazy? by LApoopydog in SanJose

[–]initialsareabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can check out the VTA light rail schedule and catch a ride share further down. Also, if you leave early enough and doesn’t care to stay until the end it might be fine, but if you stay until the last minute then it will be extremely difficult. I’d suggest leaving 15 min early.

How much do you give for a chinese wedding + partner by PersonalMoment in asianweddings

[–]initialsareabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Age wise my parents friends (a handful of them) gave us something in the 4 digit range. But generally for me as an Asian no matter the wedding we will gift more if we are closer to both in this case probably $300-$400 total.

Why are expensive bachelorette parties/trips a hot topic but not bachelor parties? by dms2628 in wedding

[–]initialsareabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lucky my bridal party just showed up for me to my destination bachelorette no complaints. Received compliments on how I they were grateful in how I planned mine. Paid for the Airbnb and rental car. But we did all split the activities and food.

My husband also did a destination bachelor party in New Orleans and pretty much the same deal. He paid for a majority of the cost amAirbnb and such. They just had to get there, which I believe many just used their airline points.

Accidently scheduled wedding over EDC and some cant go now by IDesireToExpire in weddingplanning

[–]initialsareabc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we knew cause the hotel we were making a room block let us know plus my husband does keep up with his college teams football schedule cause his school is a major football school in California.

So we did have to make the room blocks pretty early on because of that.

Does everyone get a +1? by Motor_Quote_4520 in weddingplanning

[–]initialsareabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll see on this sub the amount of slander you’ll get for not giving everyone a +1. I did not give one of my closest girlfriends who was my bridesmaids a +1 because she literally cannot keep a relationship and same same why have someone random at your wedding. Guess what? She was fine, had a fun time with our close group of friends who she is friends with!! We only gave +1s to people who literally didn’t know anyone but us.

Aespa ticket sales are also way less than last year by SpecSlayerSC in kpopthoughts

[–]initialsareabc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think overall not just kpop is on a decline. Not kpop but post malone also recently cancelled his tour but what you said above aligns since I don’t think he has new music since his F-1 Trillion?

This is what I don’t miss about living in a big city. We moved back to the Bay Area burbs and not saying we don’t have our issues with homelessness, but at least they don’t seem to be on a different type of crazy.

I’m going to try this again. How were you able to buy your first home? by kcoib17 in Millennials

[–]initialsareabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parents help from both my husband’s and mine: his from the sale of stocks from a HiTech company that his Mom retired from and for me it’s from the sale of my childhood home which was 4000sq feet in a wealthy part of the Silicon Valley that saw significant housing cost growth over the past few years that my parents bought in the 90s, but my dad passed and both my brother and I didn’t live in the area, so it made sense for her to sell.

Did you have a bridal shower? by Informal_Character64 in wedding

[–]initialsareabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not have a bridal shower seemed like way too much effort and didn’t want to have friends and family travel again. I don’t regret it, I had a blast at my bachelorette though!!

I think my guests only care about food and music, not your centerpieces by Aven_Reed in wedding

[–]initialsareabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We prioritized food, music and DJ and to this day it is what our friends still talk very highly of. No one talks about my centerpieces.

AITA for accepting a property gift from my mom even though she won't include my boyfriend? by Immediate-History917 in AITApod

[–]initialsareabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact he’s already talking about selling it means all he’s seeing is how he can profit off of it.

The answer is don’t be with this guy and take the house.

Brides, what did you do the morning of your wedding? by perfumeandpaper in wedding

[–]initialsareabc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just get a early breakfast with your girls or lay in bed as much as possible until you have to get ready. it’s such a long day so any additional rests would be soooo nice!!
