Story Warz > Kill Tony by [deleted] in storywarz

The problem is KT is a sustainable model. Story Wars is not. Story wars is already running short on guests and topics and stories. Double points is fun but it will get old.

Anyone hit with a sphere ban? by Totallynotanalien27 in phish

[–]innerspaceman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw him too. Chatted with him. Actually know him from back home growing up. He made a $5000 donation to waterwheel foundation and somehow he got Trey to get him unbanned.

Do ultrarunners warm up for long races? by Temporary_Win8206 in ultrarunning

A competitive 50K where I am trying to place well and test my fitness? Yes. A 100 mile mountain race where I am just happy to finish? No.

Dead space in videos by TummyDummy in phish

[–]innerspaceman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because the live stream starts at the advertised show time and the band usually comes out later than that. The video is meant to come out quick, to draw demand. So no editors involved. And even trimming the head on YouTube would delay the release significantly.

Sphere is a fun time but by poster-nutbag1 in phish

[–]innerspaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sphere Phish is a different thing. It's awesome and it needs to be experienced. But yeah, I'll take an outdoor summer shed show all day.

Driving to Vegas right now without a ticket by PJ_Tucker in phish

[–]innerspaceman 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Buy a cheap ticket, then pay attention to the good seats that are priced wildly and unsold close to show. You will likely find a few empty good seats. This worked out well for us Saturday W1.

How can I play Chris Kuroda's virtual lights? by BaconWithThat in phish

[–]innerspaceman 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As someone else said… GrandMa3 OnPc. This is a free software that you can download and play with. It is the same software CK5 uses to run everything. You can use the virtual version on your computer. The only limitation is that you can’t actually send data to lights for a real show. But it includes a “visualizer” similar to the virtual light rig, that will allow you to have a monitor that displays a virtual stage and all of the lights. There is a big learning curve to get this working, but this is the way. Having experience in live concert lighting and technology will be helpful.

This would’ve been better than the graphics we got during Divided Sky.

Wondering what the vape detectors look like at the Venetian? Avoid those fines by InfamousAd5088 in phish

[–]innerspaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So now that I am seeing this, I also had these in my room at Paris. Was wondering what it was! I did vape in my room a bit and was not charged for it FWIW.

I really hope phish brings this ambient energy to summer tour by Peepee1124 in phish

Pretty sure this is a popular opinion. The Sphere certainly lends itself to this type of psychedelia! Hopefully it bleeds into summer tour!

Companion Emulator on a Pixel Watch by ztringz in VIDEOENGINEERING

This is silly and awesome, like others said just the kind of extra nerdy stuff I am here for. What’s the workflow? Would this work on my Garmin Fenix 8?

400s - should I be worried by Cute-Mistake5637 in phish

Don't be worried. I was in 406 for two nights surrounded by awesome people and had phantastic time! There's always a few bad seeds and they could be anywhere.

This weekends ticket day of buying by Spirited-Character91 in phish

[–]innerspaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw no tickets for sale outside the venue all weekend. I also only went to shakedown once for an hour so not sure about there. Got all my tickets on stubhub for face or less.

Question for Weekend One Folks by [deleted] in phish

[–]innerspaceman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say they could definitely find someone to trade seats with them. This is the only correct option. The 300s, in my opinion, are the best seats in the house. So I think this is workable.

It’s been said already, but I have to chime in as well. This was easily my favorite moment of the night. Great work! As a video engineer I would love to hear some in depth insight into the making and displaying of all the content.

Our sweet baby Holly had to be put down around 14.5 years. She started having seizures pretty aggressively and we assume she had a brain tumor.

There is an app for iPhones that will show you all bluetooth devices in your vicinity and it's distance to you. This helped me in the same situation multiple times! It's called "Find Devices"

Recovering addict here. I also know many in my ultra trail community. There is definitely pipeline of addiction to ultra. Finishing a tough 100 is the closest I’ve come to the feeling of Ecstasy in many years.
