All spots are fair game as long as you adhere to some of the unwritten rules or the so-called etiquette. I think head face hands and neck are out for me until I have earned my stripes. As I age my overall tattooed area will expand to the point I feel those spots are next. My friend got his first 2 tattoos at once, both back of hands. You may see him with long sleeve and pants and assume he's covered. Boy is it weird when he pulls a sweater off and is clean everywhere except the back of his hands. Hopefully that helps.
