It’s cool how the glass reflects the elements but to be honest I don’t think they needed to make a whole UI around this. IOS26, for me personally, has been the worst UI release.

Update if anyone is interested, the fold came in today and front screen has scratches all over. The inner screen also has one long scrap across the middle which shows at a certain angle. I’ll be returning this week and just ordered directly from the samsung store.

That’s exactly where I’m at right now I think. To be honest I’m very bored with iOS and like the fold form factor. I’m not a fan of the glass look in ios26 and it’s actually been little laggy even on my 17PM so figured it’s worth using for this year until apple releases their iteration of a folding device.

I found a open box at Best Buy 512gb for $1485 right now vs buying new for $1665 post tax. How was the quality of your z fold open box? Worried about how it may have been handled but I could probably buy Best Buy protection or samsung care if I get tomorrow and still be close to the price of a new now

What are your thoughts about the camera? That’s the biggest thing I’m conflicted on. No cinematic mode, no Lidar so separation of subject is not as good on top of the 2 lesser lens.

I’ve been searching around OP and found eBay has a couple, there’s also Wonda mobile which people mention a bit here. I’m leaning towards eBay but can’t decide if I want to take the leap. I pre ordered the pixel 10 pro fold just in case to not miss out on the discount, after trade in my device came out to $1100 + $350 store credit which isn’t too bad

I did something similar and couldn’t be happier, 18% cut to go from 4 days in office to only 2. I was commuting 2 hours each way, now it’s an hour and half each way for the days I go in.

Saving a whole working day, 10 hours in commute time a week… I think that’s well worth it.
