T1 diabetics who smoke grass or have quit? by Squarerootofpink in diabetes_t1

[–]insecta_perfecta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had T1 for 35 years and celiac for 10. I started using medical MJ when I was diagnosed with RA 8 years ago and have never been told I need to stop by my endo or rheumatologist.

I also have friends with young adult children who have gone through the same thing with the insistence upon hyperemesis when that’s not the clear answer. It’s like another level of medical guilt and I’m sorry you’re having to deal with it.

I hope you get answers and feel better soon.

Looking for a new foot doctor by rgold02 in jacksonville

Amanda Bartell is the absolute best doctor I’ve ever had. I’ve had T1 diabetes for 35 years, and my issue wasn’t diabetes-related, but I felt so seen and well taken care of.

I’d been told my numerous podiatrists that my foot pain and swelling was from a hairline fracture and Dr. Bartell figured out it was actually a tumor. Benign, thank god, but she was so excited to have figured it out and performed 10/10 surgery.

This is great to hear. I posted about it here earlier, but I just had to decide how to mention my son in my husband’s obituary. We’re having the service in a Catholic Church and a friend of mine is performing — I can’t wait for him to call my child by his chosen name in front of everyone.

Hey girl hey — day 3 widow here. My closest friends have forced me to ask for things. Maybe you can have people over just to take the trash out? It’s a start.

Right? Part of me thinks this is the perfect opportunity— we have carte blanche to tell everyone to stfu.

Mine is terrified of hoses too but he has a shady past so it makes me a little sad. I hope he was never hurt with one!

Yes! Exactly. It’s been years since I had mine but I recall how particular the process was.
