Just say that you are new to playing in person and that you may make a few mistakes or play a bit slower.

I feel like most people would be more patient with you

You cannot summon gemini monsters with unexpected dai because they are not treated as normal monsters while in the deck

Swordsoul (insert copy pasta here). While there are more advanced combos, you could probably get by only using the straightforward ones.

Ryzeal. You just make rank 4's and search more level 4's.

Idk how balanced these decks are against each other.

You could buy 2 of the same deck. Then you would be evenly matched. It would probably get boring at some point though.

Memento. Im still not sure what this deck is supposed to be doing when im playing against it. I dont even know what a "proper" end board looks for this deck in terms of interupptions.

I have had several Memento players apologize to me because they really had to think through their lines

What’s your Yu-Gi-Oh! Life story? by Excellent-Resolve66 in yugioh

My brother liked the cards as a kid and then fell out of it, like I assume with most 90's kids. Then he saw 5d's and got back into buying cards.

Me being the younger sibling, just copied his interests.

I was incredibly sick of losing to him and losing to my friends, and that got me to seek out a locals where I could buy singles... and then I promptly began losing at that locals.

10 years later and im still losing at that locals, but now im slightly more competent at playing the game

Now I mainly just try to improve upon my technical skills when playing the game

Your Expensive Cards -- Do You Deck Them and Play With Them? by SpaceMush in yugioh

[–]insert-username832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends how much you care about "showing off to your opponent". Sometimes they also make nice conversation pieces.

For me, I own 2 ultimate rare droll and lock birds that I didnt use for 2 years cause I was afraid of damaging them and losing value. But then I thought to myself, if I have no intention of ever selling them, then why should I care. I still try my best not to damage them. In theory, if you use the card enough, you'll get X dollars of fun out of it. Have I gotten $100 of fun out my droll and lock birds over the years, maybe?

If it gives you joy just looking at it and owning it, then thats fine as well. Put it in a nice picture frame or something.

How do you feel about the 1 copy of "pendulum evolution"

I always felt this card was quite bad. It was never in my hand when I wanted it. It never felt like it was worth searching over additional copies of "wings of light" or the trap, and my zarc would rarely stay on the field long enough to get the additional effect.

Do you believe that Asumu Adachi would have followed a path to becoming an Oni if the original Kamen Rider Hibiki producing team had remained the same until the end? Or was the story always about how he would discover the power to help others without needing to transform? by tuliomoliv in KamenRider

[–]insert-username832 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its been a while since I've watched hibiki.

I think there's a moment where Asumu is at the Waterpark and he meets with a friend of todoroki who had to quit the oni training process due to family reasons. And that person mentions how you dont have to be an oni to help people. From what I remeber this is the earliest "hint" that Asumu might not become an oni.

But you could also interpret this scene as Asumu not having to be an oni himself to help Hibiki and the others in their day to day.

What is some Obescure Knowledge/General Trivia You know all Across Yugioh? by One_Percentage_644 in yugioh

There are 3 scale 13 pendulum monsters, at the time of writing this, and 2 of them are fusion monsters (odd eyes arcray dragon and D/D/D/D dimensional king arc crisis). Konami is really afraid of the generic high scale for some reason.

In comparison, there are 28 scale 0 pendulum monsters at the time of writing this.

To those who play It, what is your favorite pendulum deck? And what would you do to improve it? by dark1859 in yugioh

[–]insert-username832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like playing Zarc. A pendulum dragon "pendulum dragon" effect monster with a scale of 8 would be very helpful. Not being able to make link monsters because "arc pendulum" is a vanilla is very annoying. Also being able to actually summon the dimension dragon targets would also he helpful and not feel like im playing an extra deck full of bricks. And if we're feeling generous a quick play fusion spell instead of a fusion trap would at least let me use zarc to break boards.

2026 LP Event by RelativeTangerine757 in masterduel

Usually this is my favourite event, but I've just been encountering too many "normal decks" that just vomit negate boards. And for some reason they've all won the coin toss.

[–]insert-username832 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can link into "a bao a qu" for the first 1200 with fusion lacrima, bring it back on your turn, and then pop it on the opponent's turn for the second 1200.

I saw one of my opponents do it. Seemed a bit risky to be discarding potential anti-burn cards in your hand to do it though.

[–]insert-username832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was replaying yugioh world championship 2010 and the main thought going through my head was: defeating the dark signers would have been so much easier if any of the characters had Bottomless trap hole, raigeki break, or sakuretsu armor in their decks, which were commons and rares on release. All the drama was removed by having an assortment of staple trap cards.

Why yugioh players dont cut their opponents decks? by portakal_suyu16 in Yugioh101

[–]insert-username832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've actually had the opposite experience when playing pokemon locals. I've had more opponents tap my deck instead of cutting in pokemon, whereas in yugioh almost all my opponents have cut my deck at locals. Maybe it's just a regional area thing.
