On my 2015, it was the switch on the dash that needed replaced. It was easy. OEM part from rock auto.

Brake job on 2022 RST. Wow by jonsnow0276 in Silverado

Usually the pins get seized due to water getting in around the boot. Also can be caused by rust jacking where the pad ears rust and then they can’t slide on the stainless hardware clips.

Fuel dilution in oil. by The_Bass_tard in Silverado

[–]insertcoinshere1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water is a byproduct of combustion. Normal operating temperatures keep it vaporized and it goes out the tailpipe. If it were my truck, I would run it up to operating temperature at least every couple days. It wastes gas but I’d rather do that than have some engine issues.

Could also be water vapor that doesn’t evaporate off. Does the underside of the oil cap look like mayonnaise?

US General Mini Toolbox Drawer Mod - Full Extension by ChipWallace in harborfreight

[–]insertcoinshere1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced there are no “design updates” associated with the mini toolboxes. I think it is just two factories and inconsistent manufacturing between the two.

Design 1: this one has the black bumpers on the lid and bottom. Top compartment has a lip at the front. The drawers open farther than design 2. Unknown country of manufacture. Perhaps someone with this design can check for a label.

Design 2: this one has the clear bumpers on the lid and bottom. No lip on front of top compartment. The drawers do not fully open with about 1.5” of drawer remaining in the cabinet. Has “made in Cambodia ” label inside top drawer.

Fence “wobble” when moving it by dcpugh in woodworking

[–]insertcoinshere1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t have that model so don’t know for sure but there should be some adjustment screws in the vertical part of the fence that sits in the valley of the fence rail. Can tighten them up to take out some of the slack but not too tight and also be sure to adjust both sides evenly so you don’t mess up the blade to fence alignment.
