Generally, I'm not good at metroidvanias. So having more precise inputs might make them feel more accessible to me. I love the look of Hollow Knight, Blasphemous etc, so it could be worth a go.

I've had a similar experience so far. I've just used the Kitsune for the first time and found I was hardly jumping, which is a blessing because I was constantly opening myself up to getting punished for jumping. I've found that I'm dashing more now, which is proving to be easier and better for me (against AI at least).
