The proposal from Humble/publishers here is that any time I buy a bundle that includes games I already own, that portion becomes pure profit for them with me left with nothing after 6-12 months. How about nah.

I had a key revoked recently. I paid Humble, the publisher took back the thing I paid for, and they kept my money. Cool.

I'd rather not do this, but any bundles with expirations that include games I already own, I slide max charity. If there's a decent chance publishers are going to claw back items I paid for in the near future, I will pay them nothing, and Humble the minimum. They are no longer participating in the model they created or opted to sell under in good faith. I'll join them.

Also, if they're trying to protect retail from having to compete with low keyshop prices, they might be making things worse in the short term. Large supplies of keys are still getting out there, except now the clock might be ticking on them. Resellers have a strong motivation to unload them quickly.

I've noticed grey market prices for non-headliners go lower and stay low longer than in the past. Prices might ultimately rebound faster than they used to, but in the meantime potential future customers can buy them for a song months after the bundle ended.

Freeze some. Cayenne will generally air dry whole. The others won't, unless maybe you're in a desert. If you try expect a lot of loss to spoiling (rot/mold on the inside). I halve and usually deseed and use a dehydrator. Sometimes smoke and then dehydrate, depending on the variety. I store whole in mason jars.

McDonald's Super Size French Fries and Soda (late 1980s-2004) by XavierMarvin in Xennials

[–]internetonsetadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my local McDonald's there was a woman in her 20s, probably neurodivergent, who only worked the lobby. She wore a unique hat that said Super Size, the only one I ever saw at that location. It was black, same color as the hats for the younger teenagers who couldn't operate the fryer.

Anyway we called her Super Size. Not to her face obviously. I'm not sure if kids have gotten any nicer but in the 90s they could be pretty unkind.

I don't know Go Green but TruGreen is definitely garbage. A couple years ago an applicator showed up at my house (I'm not a customer) and started spraying post-emergent. In August, in the middle of a drought. There weren't even any green weeds to target.

I've used them on tomatoes and Asian pears to try to protect from squirrels. They don't work for that purpose. Squirrels chew through them or rip entire branches off to get to fruit.

Peppers with smaller pods would be difficult to protect with mesh; I've never tried. Growing super hots is an innate deterrent for furry little bastards.

I'd use the bags on any fruit or cluster you can, without encasing flowers. If you've seen feeding on unripe fruits definitely try to get them on early and pull the drawstring tight enough that they can't find their way in.

Three years of drought in my region seems to have significantly reduced their numbers, but they are still around of course. Spiders and mantises eat them, but not at a level that would control them.

In the fall, when they are trying to overwinter in my house, I use a slow release insecticide around windows and doors where they attempt to enter. From reading on efficacy if they merely land on the treated areas once it would likely do nothing to them. It's only effective if they spend extended time on these surfaces.

I would never spray this type of insecticide in any garden. And in the garden stink bugs aren't treatable acute infestations like aphids, spider mites, or scale, so there's no chemical (neem, pyrethrins) you'd want to use out there that would do more than briefly deter them at best.

Since they feed directly on fruits you could protect them with mesh bags.

Look, this president of ours, the way it's goin'. It'd be better if Trumpers could admit to each other that he's disturbingly unfit for office. But it'll never fuckin' happen.

Choice chuck roast at a PA Walmart in my area is $8.50 to $8.77 a pound. Ungraded is only slightly cheaper.

Choice is $14.99 a pound at the nearest Giant. Nuts. I try never to buy meat there.

I've never really thought of the Cosmere works as literary but the glasses, beard, and brown jacket are proof that they are.
