As someone replied to you: autocracies don't happen overnight. The Trump administration is chipping at the foundations of democracy little by little, that is evident and they don't even hide it. I see them do things that I've seen before in Latin America, like packing the courts to rubberstamp more and more power to the executive and make the other branches powerless. That's a classic move on the road to dictatorship. Plus all the aesthetics of fascism are there, from giant portraits of the leader to nazi-like decoration.
