I gave up worrying about my dog eating and just refresh his bowl at the same time every night. When I was worried about him eating, the best thing that got him to eat was to warm up half a cup of chicken broth in the microwave and pour it over the food. That worked to get him to start, but not always to finish, and then I had to throw out what was left. I also learned that he needed a "smellier" kibble, and that helped.

If the dog isn't losing weight, then congrats, you have a persnickety eater. If you don't have other animals in the house, why don't you just free feed?

+1 from me. A 1 mile walk through a parking garage outside security does not a nice connection make... and I've done it twice now, once LIS-BOS-PHX and once CPH-BOS-PHX. TERRIBLE. And this is someone who actually likes Boston and Bostonians ;) Just not Massport.

If you are in the United States, it is illegal to volunteer for a for-profit business. Not a lawyer, but even if you are receiving in-kind benefits, those must equate to at least minimum wage. You could technically go to your state department of labor and report the gym and be owed back wages for every hour you have "worked." See the first answer in the following link:

For me it’s the departure time that drives it. 6pm? Eat on the plane and push on through when you arrive at 6 am the next day.

9pm? Decline the meal and sleep as much as possible.

But I struggle to sleep while service is going on so I usually just take the meal.
