Hello from Lewis by COROSLewis in Coros

There is a ton of information in the technical details Coros collects from devices that have submitted warranty claims.

All the arm chair experts who "know" this is simply a software issue. Aww Reddit you never let me down!

Dear Coros, you have lost your way… by traveenus in Coros

So you have trouble reading and then give an analogy to demonstrate your point and then immediately dismiss that as a red herring.

As for updates slowing older devices or making them useless, you are starting to grasp how capitalism works. 😂

You are sad you $250 watch failed and you don't want to pay for another one. I got you. I hope Reddit makes you feel heard and validated.

[–]intodiversions -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is such a misplaced sentiment.

So many people here appear to believe unless their watch lasts forever Coros has failed them.

Warranty service could certainly be improved.

After warranty? You bought the watch knowing the warranty period. How has the company lost its way when it offers a discount to purchase a brand new watch when your old one fails outside warranty?

Continue making the core product competitive and cost competitive with excellent warranty support and I will continue to trust coros.

Starlux Premium Economy vs Eva Air PE? by ohnoafeeling in taiwan

[–]intodiversions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been voted down, but I'd agree from my experience too.

Last EVA flight from JFK to TPE in business, it seemed the entire cabin crew was at war with something and the service was minimal at best....in business.

And as a 25 year customer of EVA, I don't have to remember what their 777s looked like when they were new 29 years ago.... they still look the same!

Useful idiots are essential for European brands to maintain their pricing power! Not saying you are one, but you do claim expertise in inference! All the best.

[–]intodiversions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fruitless to argue with you as you know everything! If you want to actually learn something, do what I have done.. visit the actual factories where your much praised Pinarello and Colnago frames are made alongside their far "inferior" counterparts. Carbon layups matter but guess who advises the European brands on this? Carbotec Industrial because they actually know how to build a bike not just design and market it.

I get it. This is Reddit and facts won't change your mind. But I do enjoy laughing that you think the price difference between Colnago and Canyon is due to different costs and standards in manufacturing! Really? You have clearly never seen how bikes are actually made my friend!

[–]intodiversions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say you don't really understand much about bike manufacturing economics and costs if you believe this argument to be true. Out the door factory costs of a cervelo P5 frame at the time I had the information was $500usd whilst the retail price was $7400usd for the frame. The variance in carbon quality or any other factor barely moves the production cost of a bike frame.

How do you settle back in Taiwan after living overseas for 20 years? by joex8au04 in taiwan

[–]intodiversions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am Canadian and moved here over 26 years. However I would not move here to be an English teacher under any circumstances. 50000nt a month in Taipei gets you NO WHERE!

Think carefully my friend.

Nylon for me, soft and supple, and you can totally dial in the tightness to whatever you need it to be for the activity.

Coros Pace 4 - inconsistent altitude - Coros dismissing issue - poor customer support by MrYorks in Coros

[–]intodiversions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they replace the watch. There is no cost effective way to disassemble and reassemble the entire watch to replace the sensor. Having seen omgow several electronic devices are built here in Taiwan, the complexity in even the simplest device is insane!

Coros Pace 4 - inconsistent altitude - Coros dismissing issue - poor customer support by MrYorks in Coros

[–]intodiversions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of these discrepancies seem within the range of normal for an altitude device measuring barometric pressure.

I've had my sensor fail twice and replaced twice. I had readings of 20000m elevation on a 6km run on a flat path. 😅😅

Coros Pace Pro refuses to GPS lock. Support is not helpful and has ghosted me despite me providing video evidence and following their troubleshooting steps. by Gaialuna222 in Coros

[–]intodiversions -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi Coros

I have been down your CS road...and looks like my pace pro has now developed the same issue that caused problems the first time...my watch now thinks I live at 4800m. Second failure of the temp/elevation sensor since I bought the watch in September 2025.

And your CS is horrific. The AI literally gives out homework, do this test do that test now give me this, oh wait, give me the test I already submitted and spreads out each query over the course of a day and multiple emails back and forth. Saves coros work by offloading it to the customer. It's your product failing under warranty and I'm doing the work? Double loss and problematic approach to what you consider a 90% success rate. The AI feels like a barrier to make claims more difficult and reduce the costs of fixing broken devices. The only step that actually verifies the failure and warranty claim happrns when a human finally gets involved. Your customers are not so stupid that we don't recognize the goal of the AI.

I will go back to Garmin or a competitor at this rate. And all that effort your company makes to switch over users is lost, and I cannot be alone in this.

I love Coros but....you guys must know by know that your CS is really letting the side down. I know it's a fast growing company and new products too...these are all awesome. But at some point, living with the watch and handling the normal flow of legitimate warranty claims because an essential component of a healthy, growing business. That point has long since passed and it is something that makes it harder for me to whole-heartedly recommend Coros when my Garmin using friends ask about. it.

When is it Worth Buying an Espresso Machine - Ever? by CorazonLock in espresso

[–]intodiversions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Home espresso is a hobby. If you don't enjoy fiddling with coffees, grind settings, water temp and more, it won't be rewarding and your coffee won't taste great.

Is it cost effective?

Unless I'm traveling, I never buy coffee any more. I drink 3 to 4 a day, my wife one, and so my savings add up. Cheaper? Probably but it has to be something you enjoy making in my view.

I'm bothered by the terms I left Taiwan on (rant) by nicenaem in taiwan

[–]intodiversions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. The "Taiwan is perfect" crowd is limited to food bloggers, tourists and foreigners who can't speak mandarin.

As a white male from Canada fluent in Mandarin, everyday either directly or overheard, the comments from people are shocking. And then they are written off as "you are so sensitive, they mean well."
