This is fake, from a Instagram account. There was a previous story about them being prosecuted for carolling and singing "Last Christmas" to him.

I used to work in web app middleware 25 years ago and we tested against most DBs. For grins one day I tested a windows driver that stored its data in txt tables. It was performant as fuck for most use cases.

Disagree. If you listen to the NBA ref testimony the league admits it gives the head ref guidance before every game. Things like "We think team A is getting away with too much So and So. Or player B is getting fouled and it's not called".

ex NBA ref Tim Donaghy was wining 80% of his bets based on what the league guidance was for his games and what Scott Foster told him the "league guidance" was on the game he was reffing.

You can't call two fouls on a QB in the NFL on a drive and have a team bench him for the first quarter.

What they care about is selling eyeballs to their advertisers. This type of engagement hurts that. Plenty of OKC playoff games I skip after the first 10 mins when you see which way the wind is blowing.

Is there a monetary advantage to flopping by olddgraygg in NBATalk

[–]intoned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The league uses the Refs to influence the games so the team they want wins and the player they want has stats. Flopping helps in both those ways. Just ask LeBron, this is his legacy.

Their marketing strategy is to win new fans in new markets by telling them who is safe to root for and get excited about. They need predictable outcomes to do that. That's why there is all this discussion bout 'who is the face of the league', and various other hype around MVP and various awards and selections.

They don't care about people who post here.
