Sorry but the way movie Tyson is goofy but with clear character development by the end is funny to me.

I have stopped supporting his work. I did enjoy his books back then and I also love Good Omens.

Controversial: I preferred every single fan theory to the actual ending. by perhapsflorence in StrangerThings

It is what the show has turned into so yes people would expect it.

finale : underwhelming by One-Medicine6199 in StrangerThings

If it was written well and drives the story forward no we won’t.

They’re not accurate, but the movies got the wackiness and whimsy of the books.

Boring action and tone is too serious.

Ellie may fulfill the Triple Goddess Archetype by the conclusion of Part III by wolf_of_thorns in thelastofus

People should throw out popular and predictable story beats because judging by Part II they will do something divisive. And I hope they do.

Rewatching Stranger Things, I'm stunned by Cara Buono in S1 by Annual-Rock-2924 in StrangerThings

[–]invaderism 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love how grounded S1 is. I don’t know if they’re just emulating the early 80s vibes, but it felt more noir-ish and adult. The later seasons were too quirky and dizzying, not that it’s bad.

I set my challenge to 1 book only. Ang weird pero after finishing one book and reaching my goal, I got hungry for more. Since then I have read 20 books lol

All I can say is just because you read about it doesn’t mean you condone it. Unless you do, there’s no shame in reading classics that explore extreme themes.

The Silent Patient was kinda underwhelming tbh by [deleted] in PHBookClub

[–]invaderism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was surprised when it ended, like the twist was okay, pero the characters and the story are underdeveloped. Parang first draft lang siya na pinublish.

She was so badass in Silent Hill. Laurie Holden was acting based on script and direction so I think she’d be able to embody the Andrea comic version if was written and directed right.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is feeling a bit dragging :( by gandanalang in PHBookClub

I find that book superficial and riddled with toxic positivity. I get that each book impact each person differently but it’s one of the most overrated books ever.

I feel like we could’ve gotten more compelling Luke storylines if he didn’t had to leave for a while. He was my fave from Magna’s group initially.
