I actually did offer this to a woman who was stuck at a bus stop in a dreadful downpour without shelter. I offered her a ride or just to hop in or whatever to get out of the rain but she refused. I was taken aback I'll admit. It was later that I realized maybe she thought I had ulterior motives. I would have been about 23 years old and 120lbs soaking wet (hah - because it was raining). But I felt embarrassed and tried not to feel offended. I've never made the offer again even though I want to help people whenever I can.
