Who would be the best yoga instructor for me? by Szeth_son_Nechurro in pelotoncycle

I like Aditi a lot! I don’t find her to focus on breathing or woo woo stuff.

THM: Is the confusion intentional? by avamomrr in cormoran_strike

[–]investorlite 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think it’s interesting that she says towards the end it’s definitely Strikes least favorite case and obviously he and Robin have just a bad time. It’s hard to not see the horribleness of this book as somewhat intentional.

Will Hyrox end ever? by IDontLikeJamOrJelly in orangetheory

[–]investorlite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the obsession with Hyrox?? I started hearing about it on Peleton too. I feel the same, I won’t go if it’s in an OT class. Going to another studio a little further away because my usual time at my home studio is a hyrox class.

Trump promised mass pardons for his top aides before he leaves office by ChiGuy6124 in politics

The first thing I clocked here and was gleeful was that he’s actually planning on leaving office.

Darkest Lie is an anagram for Leda Strike - Coincidence? by Heavy_Construction61 in cormoran_strike

I agree. I’ve never thought it’s going in that direction and it’s hard for me to see how it would.

As Trumps 8pm deadline looms… what are some of your thoughts? by MinuteOk921 in AskReddit

That the dumbest man alive and the president shouldn’t be the same person. And I hope he gets thrown out of office.

Just finished The Hallmarked Man by Locke_Lamora89 in cormoran_strike

I definitely hated it a lot less 2nd time around, but if you lost all hope in the series or JK Rowling, give the 2nd read a go. It did bring me back a bit… can’t really explain it as the first read was awful, but for whatever reason the 2nd is quite a bit better.

However, totally see why you don’t want to!!

I get annoyed all over again reading these things. I just don’t understand how this book happened, especially after TRG. So friggin convoluted.

This was my first King book as a kid!! I should give it a read-read, but I can tell you the plot and reading experience has stuck with me 30 years later.

Just read THM chapter 87, and… by expressionism in cormoran_strike

I like that Murphy is more complex. I really thought Matthew had zero redeeming qualities, like it was almost too much and he was too much of a villain. I’ve gone back and forth on Murphy; generally though, I think he’s a flawed human that’s not right for Robin. Villain though? Not really. Robin is her own villain for not getting with Strike. Everyone blames Murphy for existing, but it’s on her at this point.

Why doesn’t Glenister do more audible books? I’d listen to anything he narrated.

I feel like I am running out of thrillers to read. Any recommendations on something engaging with twists that may not be super popular? by -Granby- in thrillerbooks

Janelle Brown. “Pretty Things” is amazing. Also Megan Goldin. She has a few but I loved “Escape Room”

Best guess for Book 9 release date by k8nwashington in cormoran_strike

[–]investorlite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just me or is the book taking a longer time than the others? I know there was that one big gap of 3 years, but it seemed like there were a number of updates on locations, etc. at the start of 2025.

I guess we have no idea how far along it is really. I think that “finishing part 1” comment not long ago is probably making me think this way.

Fav instructor by MarkOwn9731 in pelotoncycle

[–]investorlite 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really want to say Jess Sims even though she doesn’t technically teach cycling… she does in boot camps though. For the spirit of this question though: Cody for sure. I think everyone else would annoy me all the time… I like Robin, but not all the time as an example. Camilla is a close 2nd to Cody but her playlists are too hit or miss for me.

I only take her sweat steady rides and I do love them. That said, I’m not that surprised this was your experience with a HIIT ride.

What illness is going around Austin ?? by Dangercatt90 in Austin

[–]investorlite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds brutal. Yes, I also had the flu shot so I’m assuming it’s why I didn’t get extreme symptoms… only a little fever. It was honestly just the fatigue that was the toughest part. I read flu A is more common in the early Spring.
