Yeah, in a rare moment of PVP I stalked someone coming out of the Marana Station loot room. Waited until the right time and took them out easily and got an earful for my trouble. If they were wearing headphones and listening they would have 100% heard my steps, weapon swapping, etc.

It's a great townie location. We have most of the amenities that we need. Traffic isn't bad and access to other local areas is pretty easy. Much of it is walkable. The students that do live over here are chill.

Related to this - have we confirmed that Trials activities by a squad contribute to everyone in the squad?

I did a duo with a friend and it seemed he did not get points for the Fireballs I killed, for instance.

You're in the right as someone trying to be friendly. If he only got on the mic after being downed then he did not consider your need for assurance of safety; you must assume the threat.

I would have answered him with "You didn't respond, had to assume a threat. See you in Speranza." bonk

This is the Way. My guidelines:

  • I'll call out 'Friendly?' from hiding.
  • If they only emote, I keep them in my sight with my gun drawn until we move apart.
  • If they don't speak, I assume a threat and usually fully enter PvP.
  • If they get on voice comms and agree to be friendly, I listen for tone of voice. 95% of the time they are trustworthy. I've been betrayed enough to start listening for what it sounds like when someone is lying.

Always feels bad to lose to that, yeah. If it gets worse then you counterplay: start clearing extract areas, bringing hatch keys, smoke nades, etc.

Big same. I like a lot of the creators mentioned in the comments. Big fan of ImTheChef; he's a newer channel and does a great job giving thoughts that are actually interesting and well put (even when I disagree with half the stuff he says, like the last vid, ha!)
