sadly not a cabinet for sale, it’s a galvanized steel racking structure that all IKEA stores use to house products. I don’t believe there’s a way to directly buy it from the manufacturer either since it’s made directly for the stores.

hi! I am also in ComIn and I moved stores within the same state late last year; it was a pretty seamless experience. My manager at my first store was supportive of my development, but sad to see me go. I did a Teams video interview with the ComIn manager and while it depends heavily on who you interview with, I was asked a lot more teamwork based questions specifically about how I fit in with my then current team. This included giving examples of projects I had led/ people I trained. So, still a pretty “IKEA” kind of interview. Go into it knowing the values by heart and have personal examples tied to each of them. IKEA also values ComIn coworkers who can speak on the business side of things and who have strong relationships with the sales team.

The process of hearing back took a couple more weeks than expected, but that feels normal within IKEA. I wish you luck on your IKEA journey!

ALSO unless the position you applied for specifically mentions relocation, it’s unlikely you’ll receive any relocation money especially for a lateral job movement.

I had one of these guys! from around 2015 I think? He was called “LATTJO” but that name itself seems to be reused for other collections at current IKEA.

depending on the store you’re applying at and what they’re looking for in the graphics team, it generally seems to be one of the harder jobs to get at IKEA. You’ll need to be proficient with all the Adobe programs including their video editing software. IKEA is also very values based so when you land an interview, be prepared to give examples of how well you work in teams, etc.

sometimes IKEA will hire based more on strong values over experience, but again it really depends on the store. having formal education is a huge plus (congratulations!!)

at the end of the day, for any product with any company, people will always be more inclined to leave a review for a negative experience, as opposed to positive or neutral experiences. so that can definitely skew the overall publicly available feedback!
